Kay Cerski Counselling Services

Kay Cerski Counselling Services Sometimes life is challenging and it can help to have someone to talk to. Counselling is the first step you take towards a brighter, happier future.

In counselling you are encouraged and supported, through self-exploration, to gain a better understanding of yourself, your feelings and emotions and how they impact upon your relationships and life. I observe strict client confidentiality and my approach is non-judgemental, empathic and compassionate, respecting diversity in every aspect. I recognise that your problems and concerns are unique to you, and tailor my approach and sessions to ensure that your needs are met. Sometimes this includes the use of creative tools when appropriate. I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP) and I work with all the counselling disciplines. I have experience of working with confidence and self esteem issues, family and relationship issues, anxiety, depression, childhood and domestic abuse and specialise in problems associated with loss including: pre-bereavement, bereavement, miscarriage, abortion, betrayal and affairs, divorce and separation, redundancy and empty nest syndrome and retirement. I also offer counselling for people with a life limiting illness and their family, as well as the survivorsโ€™ of serious disease. An unexpected diagnosis can leave you and your family feeling shocked and frightened. By talking about and sharing your feelings with a counsellor, it can give you an improved a sense of control and help to manage your anxieties more successfully. I receive monthly Supervision to ensure that I am practising ethically and safely and to best practice. Supervision also enables me to maintain the professional standards required, to provide you with effective and supportive counselling.

Back to work today and raring to go! A busy first day back after a few weeks off... albeit online due to the present situation. Nevertheless, really good to see some old and new faces and getting back doing the counselling and supervision that I love.

Just so you know....I'm going to be taking a little time off until October to rest after a stay in hospital. I'm doing great but need some time to rest and heal. I won't be taking on any new counselling or supervision clients until then. Enjoy the rest of the summer folks and I'll see you in October ๐Ÿ’œ

This is really relevant right now....๐Ÿ’œ

In light of the recent escalation of the Coronavirus, I am offering counselling and supervision via telephone and Skype if you would prefer, or are required to stay at home.

Our mental health does not cease to be priority, and this service will ensure that your counselling and supervision needs will continue to be met during these uncertain times. ๐Ÿ’œ
