It was a great opportunity to speak with transport managers and industry professionals about the real issues they deal with every day; compliance, safety, and maintaining high operational standards.

Driving for Better Business - Safe Loading.

Are your drivers confident about load safety?

An unsecured load can do more than damage a vehicle. It can seriously injure someone or worse.

That’s why safe loading isn’t just best practice. It’s a legal responsibility.

Under Regulation 100 of the Road Vehicles (Construction & Use) Regulations 1986, both drivers and operators must ensure loads are secure and vehicles are not overloaded. If they aren’t, enforcement agencies can stop the vehicle immediately.

Even if someone else loads the vehicle, the driver is still responsible for checking it.

For driver managers, this raises an important question:

Are your drivers properly trained and confident in how to secure loads and use the right equipment?

Happy 1-Year Anniversary, Pam!

It’s officially been a year since Pam joined our consulting team, and we honestly can’t remember life without her.
As our Transport, Safety & Compliance Consultant & Trainer, Pam has one of those jobs that could easily feel like a mountain of paperwork and rules. But she has a great way of making the complex stuff feel human and doable for people on the ground.
Whether she’s tag-teaming a project with our other consultants or working closely with our clients and team members, Pam’s focus is always the same: making sure everyone stays safe and keeps moving.

We asked her What her highlights were from her 1st year and she said "Getting my DGSA Qualification, charity golf day with NaVCIS (hope they invite me back this year), and working with so many new people that every day is a school day."

Seeing her dive into a training session or get stuck into a safety audit over the last 12 months has been a massive win for us. We’re so lucky to have her in our corner here at Flagship Partners!

Marianna and Michelle attended two important events yesterday, focused on employment rights and creating safer workplaces.

In the morning, they attended the Employment Rights Essentials: HR & Recruitment Networking Breakfast, organised by Cambridgeshire Chamber of Commerce. It was an insightful and practical session delivered by Birketts LLP, sharing timely guidance as businesses prepare for the upcoming Employment Rights Bill.

In the afternoon, they took part in Businesses Against Abuse training delivered by Peterborough R**e Crisis alongside Cambridgeshire Constabulary. A powerful and eye-opening session that reinforced the importance of speaking up, supporting others, and educating our teams.

These conversations really matter. It’s so important for businesses to engage, learn, and take responsibility in creating safer, more informed workplaces.
