Our residents enjoyed a lovely outing to the Wednesday Afternoon Group Stilton where our homemade chocolate muffins went down a real treat! Over the weekend, we celebrated Halloween in style with spooktacular decorations, biscuit and muffin decorating and a fun “Find the Hidden Ghost” competition for staff, complete with sweet treats! 👻🕸️

The community and residents team have been admiring our beautiful outdoor poppy display, and we’ve had plenty of smiles with classical bingo and a fantastic first visit from Purple Angels, who filled the afternoon with music and dance💜🎶

We’re now turning our focus to Remembrance Day next week, as we continue preparing meaningful displays to honour and remember❤️🇬🇧

❤️ Poppy Memorial for Remembrance Day ❤️

We’re proud to share our wonderful Poppy Memorial created in honour of the upcoming . A huge thank you to our amazing neighbours at Hampton Lakes primary, who spent their time crafting these heartfelt poppies for our display, alongside our fantastic residents👏❤️

We’d now love for the rest of our community to get involved! Create your own poppy and bring it to our Reception, where we’ll proudly attach it to our memorial.

Feel free to take a photo with our display and tag us until end of November🔄Let’s come together in the true community spirit to remember those who bravely fought for our freedom🇬🇧🎖️

October Adventures🍂🌳✨

From peaceful walks in the crisp sunshine☀️ to receiving beautiful handmade clay poppies, it’s been a season full of colour and community. We proudly delivered our Harvest Festival hampers to the vegetable animal competition winners at Hampton Lakes primary ❤️and got creative with some pumpkin decorating for Halloween🎃

Our residents enjoyed a lively game of classical bingo and some well-deserved pampering from our lovely hairdresser🪮🫧

We also had our very first visit to the Forget Me Not Café, where we were treated to a wonderful ukulele performance🎼 To top it all off, we showed our support for by wearing pink accessories and enjoying some delicious pink-themed treats! 💝🎗️

We have started the week on such a happy note…We were treated to a phenomenal singing group whose beautiful songs brought back so many special memories for our residents and even a few happy tears were shed💕🎶

We then enjoyed a delicious lunch, filled with special curry dishes with all the sides and flavour🇮🇳then we wound down in the afternoon with some soothing elaichi chai tea☕🌸

Last week, we ran a fun Harvest Festival competition with Hampton Lakes primary, where pupils created amazing vegetable animals🥕🍋congratulations to our talented winners who came to collect their prizes! 🎉

We also had a lovely trip to Dobbies, explored the magical Christmas displays 🎄 and finished with a yummy scone and cup of tea🍰☕

Today, we’re celebrating the incredible talent, passion, and dedication of our amazing culinary team who bring creativity and flavour to everything they do - whether that be trying new dishes, hosting events for over 100 guests or cooking world foods. To show our appreciation, we surprised them with a goodie bag as a small token of gratitude for all their hard work and heart they put into every dish for our residents🍽️💛

🌟We would also like to shine a spotlight on our Head Chef, Ant, who came 3rd place for Avery Chef of the Year 2025! Ant curated a delectable 3-course menu that he showcased to judges at Avery - you did us proud!🌟

🦷✨To celebrate , we enjoyed a information video on oral health and handed out little goodie bags to residents!🪥💙

We also took beautiful walks around the lake, got creative in the activity room, and had the wonderful Alison Jay Vocalist take us back in time with some classic tunes 🎶🍁🚶

Finally, we celebrated our amazing student Annie on her last day of placement with a sweet little party - complete with treats for staff and residents! 🎉💐👩🏼‍⚕️
