✨Merry Monday!✨

We kicked off the week with a cosy Christmas card making morning, followed by some lovely local walks just as the sun decided to come out☀️🐾 We had a visit from our doggy friends Amazing Retired Bugsy & Sucessor Hank assistance dog, and to top it all off, our brilliant Head Chef Ant, treated us to an amazing mince-pie-making demo! 🥧❤️

Christmas spirit in full swing!🎅✨

We enjoyed a beautiful Christingle service from CSK Church, followed by a magical visit from Magic Merlin - Children’s, adults & care home Entertainer, who lit up the room with joy and created wonderful balloon displays for residents🪄🎈

Our mischievous Frosty the Elf has been spotted causing festive giggles! Our residents were touched by the heartfelt letters from the children at Wittering Primary School. They’ve already begun writing back to their penpals!💌❤️

To top it all off, the amazing Gabriella Pineda-Rodrigues brought the gift of Christmas music this week!🎶

We spent a lovely day exploring Peterborough Cathedral and at home we have been joining in the daily ‘Where is Frosty the Elf’ and listening to beautiful seasonal music from the Yaxley choir and Steve Jay!❄️🎶

And the best part? There’s plenty more festive cheer to come all through December - we can’t wait to share!✨🎅🏼🎁

Things are getting festive…🎄🌟🎅

This week, our residents enjoyed a wonderful visit to Peterborough Cathedral and Dobbies Garden Centre, taking in the beautiful Christmas decorations and all the magical, festive scenery✨

Back at home, we’ve been busy getting into the Christmas spirit with mini gingerbread house making, candle making and decorating beautiful trees across the home🍪🕯️

Our residents have loved getting involved and we’re excited for all the festive fun we have planned throughout December!❤️

Christmas preparations are officially underway!🎄✨

We enjoyed our weekly visit from Amazing Retired Bugsy & Sucessor Hank assistance dog who always bring happiness across the home😊🐾

The wonderful Lesley Ann Vocalist Entertainer also visited, adding sparkles, smiles and a joyful sing-song to brighten our day🎶✨

We stopped by Hampton Lakes primary to deliver the Name the Pudsey Bear winner!🧸💛

We also visited the Yaxley Library Dementia Support Group, where we made Christmas decorations with the local infant school and enjoyed singing carols and socialising together🎨🎅

Our lovely Client Liaison Manager, Milly, headed out with wonderful residents for ‘Cake 4 Kindness’ - spreading sprinkles of kindness with homemade cupcakes to incredible services and charities. We created smiles and connected with both new faces and familiar ones. A truly heart-warming day filled with joy and community🍰🤝

✨ Get ready for lots of treasured moments we’ve captured this week! ✨

We were treated to the wonderful KJ & The Catt that got everyone up and dancing! Our Sous Chef and Housekeeper couldn’t resist a little boogie with the residents too!💃🕺

We also enjoyed a cider-tasting session with raising a cheerful toast together and snacks🍎🥂

Our visit to the Extra Time Hub with the Peterborough United Foundation was another highlight. We brought along a cake that went down a hit and had a fantastic time socialising🍰🤝

Back at home, Head Chef Ant, wowed us with a bread-making demonstration that was incredibly popular👨‍🍳🥖

We were delighted to welcome back Charlie and Rehanna Live Music Duo for a lively afternoon full of energy, classic tunes, tapping feet with the joyful company of the Wednesday Afternoon Group Stilton🎶💛

💛Children in Need Morning💛

We smashed our 25-mile challenge by completing 30 miles on the static bike, our amazing residents did some legwork along with staff and neighbours, making it a true community effort!🚴‍♂️💪

We enjoyed a bake sale, lots of games, quizzes, raffles, and plenty of cake, drinks & fun🍰✨
Our brilliant chefs tried and tasted the entries for the cake competition and announced the winner! 👩‍🍳🏆

Thank you to everyone who took part that helped raise £100 to Children in Need and teamwork to make the day such a success!🌟
