Walk Leader: 14 years (able to plan and execute challenging, but fun 4mph power walks)

GP Exercise Referral Programme Consultant: 11 years (able to safely implement exercise programmes to clients with a variety of stable medical conditions and/or history of sedentary lifestyle)

Health Trainer: 11 years (able to offer practical support to clients to change their behaviour and achieve their own health goals - specialise in the health issues that affect the local community, mainly the South Asian community)

Weight Management Programme Advisor: 6 years (able to work with inactive clients from the age of 5 upwards to participate in a structured physical activity programme in a safe, supervised environment over a 10 week period. Clients understand how their behaviour affects their health with culture-based realistic support offered to change these harmful habits)

NCSCT Stop Smoking Advisor: 2 years (able to provide a range of proven methods to help smokers quit. Clients are four times more likely to stop smoking for good if they receive help from an advisor)

Behaviour & Lifestyle Coach: 4 months - newly qualified thanks to SCW Mania Fitness Education in California. Biggest achievements:

**DATE CHANGED to 21st September** - Due to the weather, I have had to change the dates. All current walkers are happy with the new date, but if anyone else couldn't make the 28th, then you have another chance to sign up 😁

The Board is finally ready and the route perfected to the point I have shaved off 1.6 miles. We will still walk 22 properties, 4 stations, 3 Chance cards, 3 Community Chest cards, the original Electrical company and Water Works, be charged with a crime in court, spend time in the 'smallest prison in the world', park ourselves for free, pay some taxes (food) and visit the original GO point selected by Victor Watson back in 1935. There is even going to be an Easter Egg moment hidden somewhere on the route 😁

After 8 sleepless nights, I have finally perfected the Monopoly Boardwalk 2024 challenge 💪 (Saturday 28th September) and have loved every second of it 😍. I've taken onboard all the imperfections from the 2017 version and hopefully have created a day you'll never forget for the rest of your days. The total route is 15.5 miles and minimally will take 6 hours to complete, however I want this to be a wholesome experience without rushing about too much. so am hoping to spend around 8 hours. We will eat at the Sheesh restaurant for a well deserved lunch and I'll make sure we go through all the necessary stretches throughout the walk etc.

Any ladies willing to give this a go, please bring your friends along with you and let me know in the comments. The more the merrier.

The plan for the day is as follows:

Saturday 28th September 2024
8:15AM: Train from Peterborough to King's Cross Station (1 hour)
9:30AM: St. Pancras to Lambeth North (30 mins)
10:00AM: Monopoly Boardwalk 2024 (8 hours or less)
6:00PM: Blackfriars Underground Station to St, Pancras (30 mins)
7:00PM: Train from King's Cross to Peterborough (1 hour)
8:30PM: HOME

Due to popular demand I have added an extra Ladies Only Fitness Badminton session for Thursday evenings at 5pm starting on Thursday 16th of May 2024 😁.

I first introduced badminton into my fitness sessions on the 9th of November 2018 as part of my Funtensity Fridays, but I wasn't happy with the 'back-garden like approach', it wasn't making me move, so I got a couple of friends and we thrashed it out on court for the next year. Anita Lewis and Rehana Abbas Mithwani became my guinea pigs. I put those girls through various strategies and changed the rules so many times whilst keeping the essence of the game intact. COVID hit and everything stopped, but we couldn't wait to get back on the court.

As soon as restrictions were lifted, I introduced the concept to my regulars attendees. It was a big hit, but I still wasn't sure how it would be received by the wider audience, especially those who didn't know how my brain worked. So I analysed and tweaked the sessions for another couple of years before first introducing the evening sessions on 12th of January 2023. We are now taking between 4,000-6,000 steps in one session. I'm always kicking it up a few notches and my brain is evolving with greater ways to make you move.

Come and join me for a Boxing Day Fitness Badminton session to burn off your Christmas dinner. Come and hit all the fitness components including muscle strength, muscular/cardiovascular endurance, power, speed, agility, flexibility, balance, co-ordination, reaction time (proven to reduce the risks of Dementia), body composition and of course the 12th component being laughter (decreases blood pressure and increases vascular blood flow and oxygenation of blood, eases anxiety and depressive symptoms) in a 60-minute full-body workout. Studies found that racquet sports reduced the risk of death by around 47%. Even if it's a one off, text me on the number below to give it a try. All levels welcome.
