Thinking spot -

When you are feeling overwhelmed and stressed out how do you usually react?

What would you like to change about any unhelpful reactions?

How could you achieve that change?

Do you relate to metaphors?

What does anxiety look like for you?

I know when I have feelings where my heart and mind races, I might feel fear worry and tension. Thoughts may become heavy or out of control and then I might use unhelpful behaviours to help cope with the situation.
I might describe this as anxiety
and it more common than you think.
Managing thoughts, feelings and emotions can be tricky but when you learn to retrain your years of unhelpful thought patterns you can achieve little steps toward new positive ways of thinking which in turn support more helpful behaviours so you can achieve goals and become more motivated without fear.

People will walk in and out of your story.
Some will stay for a season.
Some will leave without explanation.
Some will hurt you.
Some will teach you.

But through every chapter — the highs, the losses, the reinventions — you remain.

🪞 The one who wakes up with your thoughts.
🪞 The one who carries the memories no one else sees.
🪞 The one who survives every ending and still shows up.

That relationship — the one you have with yourself — is the longest relationship of your life.

✨ Be gentle with that person when they make mistakes.
✨ Speak kindly to that person when the world is harsh.
✨ Forgive that person for not knowing then what they know now.

Too many people spend their lives trying to earn love from others while neglecting the one soul that never leaves.

🌱 Loving yourself is not arrogance.
🌱 Choosing yourself is not selfish.
🌱 Protecting your peace is not weakness.

When you are good to yourself, you stop begging for crumbs of validation.
When you respect yourself, you stop tolerating disrespect.
When you love yourself, you attract connections that reflect that love.

🕊️ People may walk away.
🕊️ Roles may change.
🕊️ Relationships may end.

But if you learn to stand with yourself — calmly, honestly, compassionately — you will never be abandoned.

So today, look in the mirror and remember:

🤍 Be loyal to that person.
🤍 Be patient with that person.
🤍 Be proud of how far that person has come.

Because when everything else changes, you are the home you return to.

Five things to work on this year..

We live everyday
09/01/2026

We live everyday

We die once..
But we live every single day—
in every thought we repeat,
every reaction we choose,
every moment we meet with awareness or with distraction.

Life is not one grand event waiting at the end.
It is this breath.
This step.
This sunrise.
This chance to respond with wisdom instead of habit.

In Buddhist teaching, suffering does not come from death.
It comes from unlived days—
days spent clinging, rushing, resenting, postponing peace for “someday.”

Each day is a rebirth.
Each moment is a choice.
You can live unconsciously, trapped in fear and craving—
or you can live awake, present, and free.

You don’t need another lifetime to begin again.
You only need this one moment, lived fully.

Because death is inevitable.
But a meaningful life is a daily practice.

Live today.
Live consciously.
Live with compassion.

That is the Buddhist reminder. 🙏

Let’s talk about Self Assessment

No I’m not talking about a tax return. I’m talking about a self assessment of yourself.

Isn’t it funny how we happily make assessments in so many other areas of our lives.. in work, with our cars, kids, houses and our finances.

So often though we put ourselves at the bottom of the list, if at all.

Perhaps you could ask yourself over ther next few days, What is really going on for YOU internally at work and in your personal life? Be honest how are you REALLY feeling? What do you MOST want out of life?

And then name 3 achievable goals will you set yourself for the New Year.

*Self assessment = checking in with yourself 😊

When putting my Christmas Tree up and decorating it today, I came to wonder how many thousands or millions of Christmas Trees were being put up all around the world.

I then thought just how different each one would be and unique. No two would be the same. They all carry a personality of their owner/s.

And really that’s just like humans! We may have an extra bauble or one missing, we may shine bright with different colours, strengths and personalities and we may even choose to be that little bit different and you know what? that’s ok…to just be you.

I wonder what my tree says about me? I will explore.
Your perception of my tree will be different to mine but that’s ok.

What do you think your tree says about you?

*Post a photo of YOUR Christmas tree in the comments,.
I’d love to see as many as possible. Is that possible????
