Last week, the ladies of Cherry Blossom gathered for a delightful afternoon of reminiscing about their younger years — from courting and marriage to raising babies! 👶 They shared stories and laughter as they demonstrated their own tried-and-true diaper-changing techniques, recalling the days before pull-up pants and disposable nappies made life easier. It was a heartwarming trip down memory lane filled with fun, friendship, and fond memories.

Cherry Blossom Care Home has recently launched the Allegra Household Model, designed to give residents a greater sense of purpose by promoting independence and encouraging them to continue with their hobbies, habits, and interests. 🌸

It’s been wonderful to see Judith embracing the new model — keeping busy with the things that make her feel useful and fulfilled, whether it’s baking, washing up, a bit of gardening, or taking part in other everyday activities. Today we were invited to visit The City of Peterborough Academy for an afternoon tea. The children came to visit us on Wednesday and our residents have made some new friends through the experience.
We look forward to many more events together in the future, here at the care home and at the school.
