Last month the creative residents at Cherry Tree Care Home got busy bringing a little movie magic to life! Inspired by The Wizard of Oz, they crafted their very own tin man ornaments — each one unique and full of character.

As they worked, the residents reminisced about the beloved film and shared memories of the first time they saw it at the cinema. A wonderful afternoon of creativity, conversation, and nostalgia! 🌟🤖💛

Surrounded by beautiful countryside, the residents recently decided to bring a touch of the farm indoors by crafting their very own cardboard cows. It was a fun, lively activity that filled the home with laughter, teamwork, and plenty of imaginative flair. 🐄✨

Cherry Blossom Care Home has recently launched the Allegra Household Model, designed to give residents a greater sense of purpose by promoting independence and encouraging them to continue with their hobbies, habits, and interests. 🌸

It’s been wonderful to see Judith embracing the new model — keeping busy with the things that make her feel useful and fulfilled, whether it’s baking, washing up, a bit of gardening, or taking part in other everyday activities. Today we were invited to visit The City of Peterborough Academy for an afternoon tea. The children came to visit us on Wednesday and our residents have made some new friends through the experience.
We look forward to many more events together in the future, here at the care home and at the school.
