Suddenly but peacefully, with her family by her side, at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, on Saturday 25th April 2026, Brenda Alice Grant (nee Smith) aged 51 years. Dearly loved and cherished wife of Peter Grant, a much-loved, loving and devoted mum of Finlay and Merryn, and a loving daughter of Robbie and the late Alice. Very sadly and sorely missed. Service of Thanksgiving for Brenda’s life to be held in The Almanythie Hall, Grange Road, Peterhead on Thursday 7th May at 1.00 p.m. to which all friends are respectfully invited and thereafter to Longside Cemetery. Family flowers only, but if so desired, donations in lieu of flowers at the Hall door for chosen charities.

Peacefully passed into the presence of her Lord and Saviour, at Summerhill Eventide Home, Aberdeen, on Wednesday 22nd April 2026, Ella Imlach Downie aged 103 years. Sister of the late Christian Buchan and Robert Downie and dear sister-in-law of Margaret, a much-loved and loving aunt, great-aunt, great-great-aunt and a very dear friend to many. Service in Peterhead Baptist Church, King Street, Peterhead on Tuesday 5th May at 11 a.m. to which all friends are respectfully invited and thereafter to Balmoor Cemetery. No flowers please, but if so desired, donations in lieu of flowers at the Church door for Summerhill Eventide Home, in appreciation of the love and care given to Ella. “At Home with the Lord.”

The family of the late David Rutherford would like to thank most sincerely all relatives, friends and neighbours for all the kind and thoughtful expressions of sympathy extended to them in so many ways during their recent sad loss of a dearly loved cousin and friend. Grateful thanks must be extended to all staff at Crimond House Care Home for their dedicated care and kindness and to Mr Robert Mackie for his comforting service. Kevin, Susan and families would like to thank most sincerely all relatives, friends and neighbours for the many kind and thoughtful expressions of sympathy extended to them during their recent sad loss of Marina, a much-loved mum, mother-in-law, granny, great granny, sister, sister-in-law, auntie, niece, cousin and friend. Grateful thanks must go to doctors and staff at Ward 208, Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for their care and support. Thanks also to Rev. Sean Swindells for his very comforting words in the church and at the graveside and to the Station Hotel for the lovely teas provided. Finally, to all who paid their last respects and donated towards Slater Court, Ellon.
