We are aware of the recent MenB outbreak & understand you may be concerned.
At present, UK guidance confirms no national recommendation to offer the MenB vaccine outside the routine NHS schedule. See Government website for up to date information.
Meningitis is spread through prolonged, close contact & it’s important to be aware of the symptoms, which may include fever, headache, neck stiffness, sensitivity to light, & in some cases a rash.
If you are concerned, please seek urgent medical advice.
Get urgent medical attention (call 111 or go to A&E) if:
• Symptoms appear suddenly and worsen
• Someone is hard to wake, confused, or very unwell
• You suspect meningitis or sepsis at all
