Reflexology for Menopause. It has been a busy January, which I am thankful for, but today provided the opportunity to get back to studying for my CPD course focussing on the menopause. I am finding it so, so valuable and once I've completed it, cannot wait to offer this additional knowledge and support to my clients. (It's also illuminating for me personally, as I too find myself at this new stage of my life).
I should no longer be surprised by the impact of stress on our bodies and wellbeing, it is a major part of many of my clients lives, but this particular module today about the impact it can have on our hormones during menopause really made me stop and think. Thank you , I'm so pleased I am doing this course.

Happy Winter Solstice! The 21st marks the shortest day of the year but it also marks the return of daylight and the sun, the hope of new life and positivity in the dark. Hopefully there is always a positive somewhere even when things can get a bit full on and overwhelming at times.

Early bird....gets out of breath running up a hill...but lovely to have this view at the top whilst I recovered.. I don't know about you but September and beginning of this month has felt like I'm in a race! Trying to fit in a bit of a wellbeing check in and stopping to look around in the beautiful hills around us certainly helps me

Before every treatment I ask my clients to smell each of the aromatherapy balms.
When they have chosen, I apply to their pulse points and and encourage them to take a deep breath in and out to Stop.Inhale.Reset.
Aromatherapy is fascinating as normally the aroma you are drawn to is what you need at that moment, so for example,
Chamomile - to calm
Lavender - sleep and relaxation
Rose - emotional balance
Citrus - uplifting positivity
It's a lovely start to a treatment and starts the process of relaxation and rebalance.
In this hot weather, essential oils such as peppermint and rosemary can be refreshing, cooling and give you a concentration boost when the heat gets too much.
