A fully qualified and insured soft tissue therapist (ISRM/BTEC (Level 5) Professional Diploma in clinical sports & remedial massage therapy. A member of the Institute of sports and remedial massage (ISRM). Currently studying to be a reflexologist (a student member of the Association of Reflexologists), as a complementary addition to the therapies that I already offer. Whether your aim is relaxation or rehabilitation, I can work with you to get that ‘new body’ feeling that comes with quality massage treatment. As a soft tissue therapist, I will treat clients who have musculoskeletal injury, pain or dysfunction due to sports, everyday life or occupational stresses. As a former sprinter, basketball, rugby player and a mum, I understand how important it is to keep the body healthy, well rested and properly rehabilitated when injury occurs. Also as a qualified personal trainer and sports enthusiast with nutritional knowledge, I will help you keep your body healthy not only with massage, but with exercise, stretching and nutritional advice. My aim, is to keep you injury free and get you back on your feet as soon as possible when injury/dysfunction does occur. Soft Tissue Therapy involves three essential clinical elements:
Assessment – Applying different assessment methods to determine whether Soft Tissue Therapy is appropriate and if so, devising a suitable treatment plan for every individual client. Treatment – Applying a range of soft tissue techniques (massage included) to aid in recovery from injury and improve soft tissue condition and joint mobility. Rehabilitation – Offering advice on a range of remedial exercises and lifestyle factors aimed at speeding up recovery, preventing injury recurrence, improving posture, performance and function.
