A huge THANK YOU to the University of Surrey Sub-Aqua Club for taking on an incredible challenge in support of DDRC Healthcare 💙

They’re aiming to swim 34km — the length of the English Channel… but here’s the catch:
💸 For every £50 raised, they’re adding another 2km

So basically… the more you donate, the more they have to swim 😄👏

As divers, they know just how important safety is underwater and how vital DDRC’s work is when things don’t go to plan. This challenge is such a brilliant (and slightly punishing!) way to give back and support the care that makes a real difference in emergencies.

This is a great chance to contribute to research that aims to improve diver safety and fitness testing for the future. The session is straightforward, takes around an hour, and will be carried out here at DDRC.

We’re delighted to share that DDRC Healthcare has received a generous grant of £6,500 from The Hospital Charity Fund 💙

The funding was presented at a special charity reception in Plymouth, where over £113,000 was awarded to 25 incredible organisations across the South West—each making a real difference in their communities.

We’re proud to stand alongside so many inspiring charities and incredibly grateful for this support, which will help us continue providing specialist treatment and care to those who need it most.

After 4 months under pressure with the DDRC team… Freddie is resurfacing for his next adventure 👨‍⚕️🌊

Freddie has been a fantastic part of the team during his placement – calm, capable, and always bringing a positive energy to the chamber (and beyond!). It’s been a real pleasure having him with us.

He now moves on to his next placement in oncology, and we wish him all the very best as he continues his journey in medicine.
