Food security is something that Arterne CIC has felt passionate about since the beginning and we’ve enjoyed working in partnership within communities to influence it
Operation Snow (established 2014) by Arterne CIC founder, Cindy Willcocks, focused on Christmas time initially and then created Operation Snow soon after supported by the generosity of communities
Cindy has also gone on to become one of The Bridge Plymouth Directors which promotes food security for those organisations and services providing food to others
With all this in mind, Arterne CIC have reviewed our mission and we’ve created the ‘Blue Light ShOP’ aimed at workers within education, health and social care who are on minimum wage struggling to feed themselves and their families
We’ve been piloting the project with Arterne Group Business employees for around 6 weeks now and due to the success we wanted to make it more widely available in communities
