The early spring light made Weston Mill Cemetery truly stunning this morning. A serene place to pause, reflect on those we've lost and appreciate Mother Nature awakening around us.

At The Park, we know that the final moments of a funeral service are deeply personal. Families have several choices for how the curtains are used around the catafalque and each option is there to support whatever feels most comforting.

The curtains can remain fully open

A soft white voile can be drawn allowing the coffin to stay visible.

A thicker grey voile can be used to gently obscure the coffin.

Both voiles can be drawn together for a more private, reflective moment.

These choices don’t change the funeral service in any way, they simply offer different ways to shape the goodbye. Our team is always here to guide and support each family in choosing what feels right for them.

A Lasting Tribute at The Park

We are pleased to share a beautiful new way to remember someone special at The Park. We are launching a commemorative plaque at The Park which offers a unique and lasting tribute and a place where memories can be visited, reflected on and cherished.

If you are looking for a meaningful way to honour a loved one, this permanent memorial provides a quiet moment of reflection in a space filled with nature and care.

We understand that dogs are an important part of many families and we want you to feel comfortable as possible when visiting The Park or our cemeteries.

Well behaved dogs are warmly welcomed in our ceremony rooms and at the cafe at The Park, also in our cemeteries as long as they remain on a lead.

Thank you for helping us maintain a peaceful, respectful space for everyone who comes to remember and reflect.

A Gentle and Lasting Way to Remember Those We Love

Our Books of Remembrance offer a beautiful and permanent way to honour someone special. Each entry is carefully hand painted, creating a unique tribute that can be visited and cherished for years to come.

These books are available at Efford, The Park and Weston Mill and are displayed in a glass covered cabinet within the dedicated Book of Remembrance room. This peaceful space provides a simple, meaningful and lasting memorial.

Each book includes two pages for every day of the year, and you can choose the date your loved one’s inscription appears, often their date of passing or another meaningful day.

Entries can be between two and eight lines
Entries of five lines or more can include a hand painted design
Please allow at least five months before the chosen date for us to prepare the inscription.

For added comfort and convenience, the Books of Remembrance for both Efford and Weston Mill are also available online where they can be viewed any time, day or night.
