The new bus stop at The Park is now fully operational.

Work to install two new bus stops each side of Merafield Road and an associated pedestrian puffin crossing and pavement has now finished, enabling passengers using the number 19 bus, operated by Stagecoach South West, to access The Park.

Buses now serve both new stops enabling visitors to access the crematorium, its popular café and the adjoining Drake Memorial Park, by bus, seven days a week.

As the festive season approaches, many of us look forward to sharing special moments with families and friends. For some this time of year also brings tender memories of loved ones who are no longer with us.

At Plymouth Crematorium at The Park we offer a Letterbox to Heaven, a quiet and thoughtful way to send a message to someone you miss. Whether it’s a letter or a card, each one placed in the letterbox is treated with the utmost respect and care. These messages are never opened, ensuring complete privacy.
There’s no need for an address or stamp, as the letterbox is not part of the Royal Mail service. You’ll find our Letterbox to Heaven near our Book of Remembrance Pavilion.

There is still chance to come and see our display of Poppies at The Park. Our display will continue until week commencing Monday 17th November when we will start to take down the display and prepare for next year. We would welcome donations of knitted poppies to help increase our display next year.
A big thank you to everyone who has donated poppies this year.

Our annual Remembrance Service took place at Efford Cemetery this morning. Portfolio Holder Councillor Haydon was joined by Ward Councillors Pauline Murphy, Neil Hendy and Paul McNamara as well as children from Laira Green Primary, High View Primary and Lipson Vale Primary. The children were invited to ask the Standard Bearers questions about the war before the service began. The service was led by Reverend Darryl Cree where the schools read poems and laid wreaths with our Councillors.
