📚✨ World Book Day at Torr Home ✨📚

Today we had a wonderful time celebrating World Book Day here at Torr Home! Our fantastic Activities Coordinators got into the spirit by dressing up - Amy as Goldilocks, Kate as Mary Poppins, and Gemma as a library! 📖

Residents enjoyed a full day of book-themed fun including listening to the classic ‘Wind in the Willows’ audiobook, creating our own imaginative stories, and sharing time reading together.

We went on a “Bear Hunt”, did chair exercises to Row, Row, Row Your Boat and The Wheels on the Bus with a musical sing-along book, and tested our ears by guessing animal sounds from a very hungry caterpillar sound book! 🐛

We also spent time reminiscing over 1940s book covers, which sparked lovely memories and inspired some wonderful group storytelling.

A fantastic day filled with laughter, memories, creativity and of course, the joy of books. 📚❤️

Today we took a lovely trip to Endsleigh Garden Centre and had the best time soaking up all the spring vibes 🌷✨

We had a good look around the shop, admired the gorgeous displays (so many Easter decorations everywhere! 🐣), and of course couldn’t resist a sweet treat in the café 🍰☕

A floral kind of day, today! We enjoyed creating our own flower arrangements, surrounded by vibrant colours and lovely scents.

We also spent time reading about the different flowers and learning some interesting facts together 🌸🌷💐

Today’s minibus trip took us to the lovely Rusty Tractor Farm Cafe for coffee, cake, and plenty of good old chit chat ☕🍰🚜

The sun even decided to make a special appearance for us ☀️🌷

From volleyball rallies to testing our aim at darts, and lots of laughter with the parachute games, there was something for everyone to enjoy.
