A lovely afternoon celebrating St. George's Day! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Started with a trip to the supermarket for some fresh scones, jam and cream - perfect for our traditional afternoon tea ☕🍓🍰

We enjoyed learning more about St. George with a fun quiz and listening to the iconic hymn 'Jerusalem' that’s always played on this day. Then it was time for some creative crafts and of course, delicious scones to round off the celebration 🥰

A bracing but beautiful day at the Hoe 🌊☀️☕️🍩

We stopped by a Beryl Cook statue inspired by the Hips and Chips painting, before taking in the stunning views.

It may have been cold and incredibly windy, but the sunshine made it all worthwhile. We warmed up with hot drinks and donuts… and provided some unexpected entertainment when Chris bit into his and cream went everywhere - definitely gave us all a good laugh 😂

Today has been full of fun, sunshine and sweet treats across all three units! ☀️🍫🍓🍌🎶

Torr enjoyed getting hands-on, making chocolate cornflake nests topped with crushed mini eggs and finished with a soft mint Aero egg. There was lots of mixing, crunching and creativity involved - but the highlight was definitely licking the spoons at the end 😂

Bell Torr made the most of the lovely weather, spending time relaxing in the courtyard. With refreshing drinks and fresh strawberries to enjoy, it was the perfect way to soak up the sunshine.

Glentor hosted a delightful garden tea party, where everyone tucked into the banana and chocolate chip cake they had baked earlier in the morning. The afternoon was filled with music from a variety of artists, including Katherine Jenkins, Eva Cassidy, country worship and Donna Taggart. To top it all off, there was plenty of laughter during a fun rocket launcher challenge - seeing who could send it the furthest 😁

Today the Glentor Centre enjoyed a lovely mix of arts and crafts alongside a meaningful group discussion all about Easter and what it means to us… 🌸

“New beginnings”
“New life”
“Lambs and tulips”
“Chocolate and children”

Together, we talked about the journey from Good Friday through to Easter Sunday, reflecting on the story of Jesus. We even took time to read a few passages from the Bible. To top it all off, we enjoyed some delicious hot cross buns with a cuppa ☕️

A lovely little trip over to Saltash today, practically tucked beneath the Tamar Bridge at Salt Mill Park 🌉

We’ve been soaking up the beautiful views of the estuary, watching the boats drift by and taking in everything across the water. We brought our flasks again, so enjoyed a cosy mid-morning picnic with fruit, cake, hot chocolate, tea and coffee ☕🍰

There’s a bit of a nip in the wind, but the sunshine makes it so enjoyable to be out. Plenty of chitter chatter and giggles all round, with a couple of residents even heading off for a stroll.

We spotted a train making its way across the bridge, and had a visit from a lovely kind lady and her dog - lots of cuddles all round 🐾

A lovely morning spent at Lopwell Dam 🌿

We were surrounded by nature - spotting geese, swans, sheep and even a couple of pheasants along the way. With hikers and cyclists passing by and the calming sound of the water, it made for such a peaceful and refreshing trip.

We enjoyed a mid-morning picnic with hot chocolate, tea and coffee, along with flapjacks, toffee muffins and some classic rhubarb & custard sweets ☕🧁

There was plenty of chatting, reminiscing and laughter, all while taking in the beautiful views and fresh air.

A day well spent outdoors! The trees sparked plenty of conversation and how, as kids, we loved the challenge of climbing them and seeing just how high we could go 🌳⛅️

We also took time to admire the flowers in full bloom now it‘s spring - Chris’s hard work is paying off! Back indoors, the day was just as full, with crafts, games, and a lovely Easter church service 🌷🐣⛪️🐰
