I had the sad duty today of saying goodbye to a dear friend of over 30 years. I had always promised to conduct her funeral, but her sudden death took us all by surprise and today I found myself struggling with the loss. Wendy had cancer and we supported each other as I too went through my chemo and operations 4 years ago. Wendy I won’t forget you. The drive home was an odd one knowing a home that had been in the same family for three generations would now be sold, a place so familiar, the door always open, tea and sandwiches produced within minutes of my arrival and a much welcome rest. Thank you Wendy for your love and support. God bless, until we meet again. ###
