Update 1735 - we are now back up and running!

Service Update – Laira & Efford Surgeries

We are currently experiencing a power cut affecting our Laira and Efford sites. As a result, services may be temporarily disrupted, including phone lines and access to appointments.

Our teams are working to minimise impact and restore normal service as soon as possible.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

🚗 Car Park Reminder for Neighbours of our Surgeries

If you are using our practice car parks overnight, please ensure your vehicle is moved before 7:30am.

Recently, cars have been left in parking spaces and at entrances, making it difficult for patients and staff to access the site in the morning. We appreciate your cooperation in helping keep access clear for everyone.

Thank you.

Digital-first communications reminder - Cervical Screening Team Update.
From 24 March, the NHS Cervical Screening Programme will start sending results requiring referral to colposcopy available through the NHS App. This change follows the introduction of digital invitations, reminders and some results in 2025 and comprehensive user research which has demonstrated strong support for receiving screening results digitally.

Digital-first communications first appear as an NHS App notification. For results requiring referral to colposcopy, if the NHS App message isn’t read within 24 hours, a letter will be sent as a failsafe. For all other communications, if the NHS App message isn’t read within 72 hours, a letter will be sent as a failsafe. Some participants may also receive an SMS notification.

Since June 2025, over 3 million invitations have been sent via NHS Notify, where 9 out of every 10 invitations have been delivered digitally, with the remainder being sent by post.
