This morning, I pulled a card before I went out. The card pulled from the Slow Holler Tarot was the Eight of Swords.

We went to the gun range to have a go with an air rifle to celebrate my brother's birthday this week. This is not something we've done before.

I was nervous. Didn't know if I'd be able to go and stay there (cheers deep rooted anxiety and agoraphobia), let alone have a go at it or be any good.

When I tell you I had the best time, I am not kidding. My husband said he hasn't seen me smile like that in ages.

I did really well. I was getting things in the centre of the target sheets and hitting tiny things at the end of the range, making them spin and ching. It was such a confidence builder to find a new talent.

It was so thrilling and affirming. I was way more capable than I believed I was. I was also a pretty decent shot.

So we'll be going again. But how does this tie in with that card?

Well, the 8oS is all about moving beyond your self-limiting beliefs. Getting outside your comfort zone, and moving into the growth zone. Doing more than you believed you are capable of.

Try something new. I can assure you, you will know yourself better after it.

The latest went live yesterday.

This one is the 8-Bit Fantasy Tarot. This is a genuine copy. This deck (as many are) is hugely made by counterfeit producers. The production of counterfeit decks is rife.

This has it's two-part box, it had the card sleeves and stickers when I bought it second hand too :D

I love the 8-bit pixelated images and how cleverly they have been done to really show the vital details of the Rider-Waite-Smith deck.

The card texture is gorgeous and they're cute smaller size makes it great for smaller hands.

The genuine publisher of the deck is linked in the video comments.

The next is the Dream Awake Tarot by Ashanti Gumbo.

I really enjoyed this deck. The collage photo imagery is powerful and really uses semiotics beautifully. Each one has a palpable message and energy to it.

The use of Hexagonal cards is also really ell done with the designs not all holding the hexagonal shape the same way.

The Guidebook only deepens my love for this deck. It was rich with insightful and journey-like delving and prompts. I recommend this deck highly.

You can have a look at the deck, card by card, along with the guidebook, here - https://youtu.be/KBtSRj12uzg or via the links in my bio.

The next is Couture Tarot by Megan Skinner.

i really enjoyed this deck. I have always loved fashion - it is an artform in and or itself as well as individually art. If you saw my shoe collection at it's peak you'd know that shoes and clothes really are art pieces.

This deck doesn't just feature clothing fashion. It is fashion, and couture level, in every aspect of life.

It is aesthetically beautiful, with well curated images used within the collages for each card.

I really was impressed with this deck. Feel free to check it out here - https://youtu.be/gd7rW4GLb9A or via the links in my bio.

I wrote again his morning. It's been a moment.

Deck explorations are being finished off and set up to share today. I'm getting back into a flow following the school holiday.

This piece was inspired by a stick. Feel free to have a read.

No real reason why, but I took this picture today, as something to use at a later date, for inspiration or whatever.

I can't put my finger on why but for some reason I just kinda really like it.

Turning 40 brought about reading glasses being needed. I don't mind too much. There's a part of me that very much wants to go nuts and buy lots of pretty ones.

I've worn blue light glasses up to this point (as it helps with ND brains and circadian rhythm disruptions) but needing them for vision is something to move through.

But, it means my eyes shouldn't be so dried out or strained with writing and reading, and that can only be a good thing.

We've had a hair cut. So much dead cut off.

I'll get to my roots eventually. Burnout has made me resistant.

Thanks for the gorgeous cut, beach waves and the nattering. It's always a joy to have you do magic with out hair.

Believe it or not, I thought I was beaming like I felt when I took this photo. Turns out I'm autistic and my face doesnt emote properly 🤣

It presents me the worst challenges in writing.

In this Substack post, I have shared the realisation, my diagnosis journey, and impacts I have had through the journey, and even now, with ADHD being a part of my wiring.
