WHAT IS YOUR IDEAL SAUNA?
TAKE OUR SHORT SURVEY AND HELP US BRING IT TO REALITY!

As a recent start-up , we are currently at the stage where we collect information about what Plymouth people actually want from a sauna facility, and what they think sauna can offer.

This is a super exciting phase, because it’s like doing detective work, and getting to know what people think!!

But the challenge is getting the survey out to enough people… We need your support ❤️

I still remember the public sauna just on the outskirts of Helsinki.

It was by a lake; it was a sunny day. Entrance was just a couple of euros; we were the only outsiders, and of course we didn’t feel like outsiders.
Once you walk into the searingly hot sauna, differences and identity-boxes start to melt away.

It was such a casual place; when I talked to people who were regulars, they said it was their weekly ‘sauna session’. Just part of their everyday life.
Back then in the UK, I had never been able to find a sauna that *wasn’t* part of a fancy spa-hotel facility. Thankfully this is changing.

After leaving the sauna cabin, a man laid down and dozed off peacefully on his back, on the edge of the lake.

And then there was the Beach Box Sauna in Brighton…
We were a bit run-down emotionally, that day: some things felt stuck, our mental state wasn’t its most balanced.
And we found it by accident, and synchronistically they just had two cancellations, which opened up space for us.

It was on this day that my partner and I looked at each other and thought the same thing:

‘We could build a place like this.’
