The Rite in the Rain story began nearly a century ago in the forests of the Great Northwest in the USA. Entrepreneur, Jerry Darling, recognized the logging industry’s need for a durable material that could be written on and survive in poor weather conditions. Jerry developed a special coating that created a unique moisture shield on the hand-dipped sheets of paper that he and his wife, Mary, processed at their home. Over the many years Rite in the Rain perfected and patented the environmentally responsible coating process. Still located in Tacoma, Washington their continued mission is to provide innovative products for professionals and enthusiasts who brave the outdoors. Here in the UK we sell a selection of products from Rite in the Rain - all weather paper, anywhere, anytime.

Rite in the Rain Pocket Pens have a proprietary ink and delivery system used exclusively in Rite in the Rain Pens. The pressurized cartridge and all-weather ink formula not only prevent notes from washing away, you can literally write THROUGH water. ⁠They are small enough for any smock pocket, notebook holder or commanders admin pouch but when opened and the cap is snapped to the back, you have a full-size writing pen!⁠
