Beyond Limits

Beyond Limits Beyond Limits, pushing the boundaries of conventional support. Social justice not just social care All Behaviour is communication.

We are a relatively new organisation based in Devon providing personalised support. Our mission is to change the face of services for vulnerable people and those at risk of exclusion. We relish working with people who have been labelled as 'challenging' and have much experience in this field having been set up on the back of Partners for Inclusion a Scottish organisation that has been working in an individualised, person centred way for the last 15 years. By individualising the service we provide we are immediately treating people with respect and putting the power of how they wish to live their lives in their own hands. This in itself goes part way reducing any so called 'challenging behaviour, which is a method by which people tell us they are not happy. Each person we support has their own staff team, employed by them and for them, they have a place to live that they call home and where they chose who, if anyone, they share this home with. Each person has an individual ring fenced pot of money which is used as an Individual Service Fund (ISF) to meet their needs and wishes. This might include to pay for staff support, to get short breaks, to join a club where they can develop skills and meet people or for anything else that might help them achieve a great life (good outcomes).

A Team Night to Remember 💙

It was brilliant having our colleague Raf visit from Portugal recently.

Raf is our resident recruitment specialist, and it was so lovely to have him in the office in person. We rounded off the day with a night of good food and great company 🍽️✨

Moments like these remind us how important connection, togetherness and genuine team spirit are to the way we work at Beyond Limits. We are at our best when we support each other, celebrate each other and enjoy time together both in and out of the office 💙

🎃 Beyond Limits Halloween Party 2025 👻

What an amazing afternoon of spooky fun! We invited staff and the people we support to join us for a Halloween celebration filled with laughter, music, and plenty of festive spirit.

The office was transformed with spooky decorations, everyone showed off their best costumes, and the Halloween tunes set the mood perfectly! 🎶🕸️

Our baking competition was a spooky success, with lots of creative (and delicious!) Halloween-themed goodies brought in. Everyone got to vote for their favourites before we held our very own awards ceremony, celebrating not just the best bakes, but also best dressed, best couple's costume, and more! 🧁🏆🕷️

We ended the day with some karaoke, singing our hearts out to Halloween classics (and a few other favourites too). It was a fantastic afternoon that brought everyone together for some festive fun! 👩‍🎤💀💜

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and helped make the day so special. We couldn’t have done it without you! 🎃

Looking Back on National Disability Employment Awareness Month 🟢

As October comes to an end, we’ve been thinking about all the people we’ve supported this month and throughout the year 💼💪. Seeing people grow in confidence, develop skills, and take on meaningful work is why we do what we do 🌱

We’ve also been reminded of the importance of inclusive workplaces, where everyone has the chance to contribute and be valued 🤝. Disability is never a barrier to making a difference, and every achievement, big or small, is worth celebrating 🌟.

National Disability Employment Awareness Month may be ending, but our commitment to supporting people, creating opportunities, and championing inclusion continues every day.

🎃 Spooky creativity at Beyond Limits! 👻

This week, we hosted a Halloween workshop where staff and the people we support came together for a fun-filled afternoon of festive crafting. The room was full of laughter, teamwork, and a little bit of spooky magic as everyone got stuck into making their own Halloween decorations.

Workshops like this are a great reminder of what makes Beyond Limits special, spending time together, celebrating creativity, and supporting each other to try new things. The decorations are now brightening up our spaces and getting everyone in the Halloween spirit!

🧡 Thank you to everyone who joined in and made it such a fun afternoon.

Fun in the sun for Chantelle and Lorraine! ☀️✈️

Chantelle and Lorraine recently enjoyed a wonderful trip to Benidorm, soaking up some sunshine, fun, and new experiences. Chantelle even tried out a beautiful new hairstyle, getting her hair braided, and it really suits her!

A big thank you to Lorraine for supporting Chantelle on her travels and helping her live her best life.

At Beyond Limits, we believe everyone deserves the chance to enjoy holidays and new adventures. Wherever possible, we make it happen, supporting people to live truly empowered lives, no matter what they need support with. 💜

🌟Carer of the Year – A Truly Deserved Tribute to Sue 🌟

We’re so proud to share that our much-loved colleague Sue Caunter has been honoured with the Carer of the Year Award at the Plymouth Community Awards 💙

Sue sadly passed away earlier this year, but her incredible dedication, compassion, and the positive impact she made on people’s lives will always be remembered.

Her daughter Courtney and our colleague Julie were there on the night to accept the award on Sue’s behalf🏆

It was such a special moment and a beautiful way to celebrate everything Sue stood for, care, kindness, and love for the people she supported ❤️

Congratulations, Sue, you’ll always be our Carer of the Year 💫

It’s Dyslexia Awareness Week 2025! 💙

This year’s theme is “Raising the Volume”, listening to the voices of young people with dyslexia and celebrating their strengths. Dyslexia affects around 1 in 10 people, and it’s not about ability; it’s about how the brain processes information.

Here’s how we can all make things more inclusive:

✅ Use clear, easy-to-read fonts and break text into small sections
✅ Provide information in multiple formats — written, visual, or audio
✅ Highlight key points and use plain, simple language
✅ Give extra time for reading or writing tasks when needed
✅ Offer assistive tech like text-to-speech or reading overlays

Together, we can make sure everyone’s voice is heard.
