From a few hours a day, up to 24 hours 7 days a week, including bank holidays, we provide one-to-one tailor made packages to suit the needs of our Clients. With a minimum visit time of 1 hour, we aim to provide continuity of care from our CareGivers who have the skills to build rapport and trusting relationship with our Clients, whilst respecting their individual choices and independence. 12 Days of Christmas 💚🎄

Our final day… and one very close to our hearts! ✨

To round off our 12 Days of Christmas, we’re proud to spotlight our very own Willingdon Community Café, run by Home Instead Eastbourne & Hailsham.

This free, dementia-friendly café is a welcoming space for local people to come together, enjoy companionship, and take part in fun activities and entertainment, all in a relaxed, supportive environment.

🗓️ 1st Thursday of every month (excluding January 2026 when it takes place on Thursday 8th January)
🕑 2pm – 4pm

Christmas Jumper Day Fun! 🎄

We recently enjoyed a fantastic Christmas Jumper Day, welcoming our Care Professionals as they popped in wearing their festive knits. We snapped some lovely photos by our Christmas backdrop and enjoyed a wonderful opportunity to say hello, collect gifts, eat treats and spend time chatting together ahead of the Christmas celebrations.

Best of all, we were supporting a great cause 💙. We raised funds for Eastbourne Dementia Action Alliance, an organisation very close to our hearts and one that our Director, Ian Cottrell, is proud to chair.

With Santa almost ready to make his stop, we’d like to wish everyone a very happy Christmas Eve and a joyful festive season! 🎅✨

Today we’re sharing a lovely, supportive space for people living with dementia, along with their carers and families.

Connections CAFE sussex offers a relaxed, friendly environment filled with music, games, quizzes, tea, coffee, cake and companionship. It’s a place to feel understood, supported and connected.

Santa has been! 🎅 This Christmas, we’ve been delighted to share a festive gift with our wonderful Care Professionals and clients. 💚

Each gift included chocolates, a pen, and a Home Instead mug... a small thank you to show our appreciation! Our busy office elves were hard at work preparing them all!

We’re so grateful for everything you do and for being part of our Home Instead family this Christmas.

Today we’re shining a spotlight on a brilliant local charity supporting older people across Eastbourne.

AgeConcern Eastbourne runs a wide range of groups and activities designed to help older adults stay active, social and connected. From social clubs and wellbeing activities to support services, there’s something for everyone.

Many of their groups take place at the William & Patricia Venton Centre, a welcoming community hub in the heart of Eastbourne.

12 Days of Christmas 🌿

Today we’re sharing a calming and supportive activity for those living with dementia and their loved ones.

Dementia-Friendly Walks at Wakehurst take place on the last Tuesday of each month, from 11am–12pm.

Starting at Visitor Reception, these gentle 60-minute walks are led by specially trained volunteer guides from the Alzheimer’s Society, ensuring a welcoming and understanding environment.

The stunning Wakehurst gardens offer a peaceful space to enjoy nature, connect with others and experience the wellbeing benefits of time outdoors. Support workers, family members and friends are warmly encouraged to join and they receive free entry to the Gardens. 💚
