Ours was very quiet but lovely...

A time for reflection since loosing my Mum a few weeks ago and im nursing a damaged Coccyx which has just been rotten !!

But i love Boxing Day... a lovely relaxed day, cold meat and pickles and the traditional Boxing Day Bonfire with Hot Chocolates and Ci**rs !!

May the merriment continue !!!

Mother’s Night (First night of Yule)
Yule starts at sundown, not morning. The first night is Mother’s Night (Mōdraniht). It’s for the Mothers: ancestral women, matron spirits, and the land itself. Quiet. Grounded. No party yet.
How to mark it today (no theatrics):
Light a single candle after dark.
Take a moment to name your female ancestors or the women who shaped you.
Pour a small drink offering or leave bread outside.
Say one careful intention for the winter ahead.

Last day of school today and Harri has been given it as a Mental Health Day as he's struggling with grief since the loss of my Mum...

So, we're having a cheeky little breakfast, a wander around town and a Boba Tea...
