The King Street walk-in centre🚶‍♀️in Wakefield provides care for people with urgent health needs, without the need for an appointment, at times when they may not be able to see their GP.

The Wakefield District Health & Care Partnership wants to hear from patients and local people about how they use the walk-in centre, what works well and where there might be opportunities to improve the service.

Your views will help those who plan care in Wakefield District understand local needs and shape future services in line with the latest NHS guidance.

The surgery will be closing at 12pm today for staff training and will reopen on Thursday 15th January at 8am.

If you need urgent medical advice after this time, please call the surgery as usual. Your call will then be diverted to the out of hours provider GP Care Wakefield.

Alternatively you can also call the NHS 111 service.

For any routine enquiries or non urgent medical advice, You can also message us using our online system PATCHS.

Please note messages sent after 12pm will not be actioned until the following day.

Today we say goodbye to our wonderful receptionist Wendy who retires today after 16 years service here at Northgate Surgery.
