Today we say goodbye to our wonderful receptionist Wendy who retires today after 16 years service here at Northgate Surgery.

Wendy will be missed by everyone here at Northgate and we wish her the very best in her retirement.

If you need medical assistance during this time, please call the surgery as normal and your call will be put through to our out of hours provider GP Care Wakefield.

There will be No sit and wait blood clinic, Tuesday 30th December.

The clinic will return Tuesday 6th January 2026.

Junior Doctor Strikes December 2025.

The British Medical Association (BMA) has announced that their resident doctor members will strike for five days from 7am on Wednesday 17th December until 7am on Monday 22nd December 2025.

Resident Doctors include GP Registrars who work within our practice.

Therefore, During these strikes, the Practice May have a reduced availability of appointments.

Where possible, please try to use PATCHS for routine problems. All messages sent through PATCHS will be acknowledged within 24 working hours.

We have a collection box here in our surgery to collect items for Airedale Baby and Children’s Bank and Smiles For Miles christmas appeals.

We are collecting, PJ's, selection boxes and gifts to split between the 2 appeals.

The box is located in the reception area near to the self check in screen.

Please note donations can be dropped off during Surgery opening hours, Monday - Friday. We cannot accept Donations on a weekend.
