The surgery will be closing at 12pm today for staff training and will reopen on Thursday 13th November at 8am.

If you need urgent medical advice after this time, please call the surgery as usual. Your call will then be diverted to the out of hours provider GP Care Wakefield.
Alternatively you can also call the NHS 111 service.

For any routine enquiries or non urgent medical advice, You can also message us using our online system PATCHS.

Please note messages sent after 12pm will not be actioned until the following day.

3rd – 10th November – Ask your pharmacist week

You might be surprised at the range of health services offered by your local pharmacy.

Please make the most of the NHS and private services available on your doorstep - from, blood pressure checks, contraception, medicines consultations and convenient treatment for minor ailments.

If you have not already, it's important to register with an NHS GP surgery as soon as possible and tell them you served in the UK armed forces so they can add it to your medical record. This includes the:

🟢British Army
🟢Royal Navy
🟢Royal Air Force
🟢Royal Marines
🟢Merchant Navy

Registering as soon as you leave the armed forces instead of waiting until you need treatment means you may be able to access treatment faster.

When you register with an NHS GP surgery, it's important to give them any information you received from your military medical officer.

This will help your GP to better understand your health, including any health problems related to your service.

It will also help make sure you're referred to dedicated services for veterans, where appropriate.

There is no walk in blood clinic for the next 2 weeks. The next walk in clinic will be held on Tuesday 28th October.

We do have routine blood appointments here at the surgery and with our out of hours provider GP Care Wakefield. Alternatively you can collect a blood form from reception and go to the hospital.
