🎀 Cervical Cancer Awareness Week (22–28 Jan) 🎀
This week we're joining the national movement to raise awareness of cervical cancer and highlight the importance of prevention, detection, and support.

💡 Did You Know?
Around 3,300 people in the UK are diagnosed with cervical cancer each year.
99.8% of cervical cancer cases are preventable through HPV vaccination and regular cervical screening.
Early detection saves lives, 86.8% of those diagnosed between ages 15-44 survive 10 years or more.

✅ What You Can Do:
Book your cervical screening (smear test) if you’re 25-64 and registered with a GP. Tests are every 5 years.
If aged 16–24 and missed the HPV vaccine at school, contact your GP’s practice to arrange one.
Talk about symptoms; unusual bleeding, post-sex bleeding, pelvic pain or discharge, and see your GP if anything feels off.

🧭 Where to Find Support:
NHS Cervical Screening Info – Learn about appointments, what to expect, and results.

📣 Help us spread the word:
Like & share this post to remind your community
Tag someone who needs a gentle nudge to book their test
Share your story (“I’ve just booked mine!”) to encourage others

Let’s make screening the norm, not the exception 💪
