đź’š World Kidney Day 2026
“Kidney Health for All: Caring for People, Protecting the Planet”
Environmental factors like air pollution, heat stress, dehydration and extreme weather can raise the risk of kidney disease and make it progress faster.
At the same time, treatments like dialysis use large amounts of water, energy and single use plastics, which adds pressure on the environment.
This year’s message is simple:
đź’š Protect people.
đź’š Protect the planet.
đź’š Support healthier kidneys and a healthier world.
