World Immunisation Week highlights the life saving power of vaccines and the vital role they play in protecting people of all ages from vaccine preventable diseases.
Vaccines are one of the greatest achievements in public health. And here in England, routine childhood vaccinations prevent an estimated 4,960 deaths and over 228,000 hospitalisations every year.

If you’ve had a cervical screening test, your results may be sent to you through the NHS App.
If your result is normal:
You’ll receive a secure message in the NHS App letting you know your result. There’s no need to wait for a letter in the post.
If your result is abnormal:
You’ll still receive a letter by post. This will explain your result in more detail and tell you what will happen next.
Not all results appear instantly, and the NHS will always contact you in the right way if any follow up is needed.
