Healing is a journey, unravelling past habits, events, or situations that may have led to illness or disease.

The human body responds to environmental factors, both internally and externally.

An illness or disease is usually an accumulation built up over days, weeks, months, and even years. Healing may take the the same time period, as long as the root cause is confronted.

The body heals itself if given the right conditions or environment to do so.

There is a lot of confusion about wheat and gluten. I often get asked if they are the same thing. Here is an explanation:

Not exactly — gluten and wheat are related but not the same thing.

Here’s how they differ:

Wheat is a type of grain (a cereal crop) used to make flour, bread, pasta, etc. It contains many components, including starch, fiber, and proteins.

Gluten is a specific protein found in wheat — and also in related grains like barley, rye, and triticale.

So:

All wheat contains gluten, but

Not all gluten comes only from wheat (it can also come from barley and rye).

If someone says they are on a gluten-free diet, they must avoid wheat, barley, rye, and foods made from them.
If someone says they are avoiding wheat, they may still be able to eat gluten from other sources — unless they have celiac disease or gluten sensitivity.

Just a variety of foot function discrepancies that can lead to knee pain:

Over pronation or flat feet
Over supination or high arches
Bunions
Overlapping toes
Functional leg length discrepancies
Plantar Fasciitis
Collapsed arches
Weak ankle(s)
Tight Calf muscles (Soleus/Gastrocnemius)
Foot drop
Overactive or underactive Peroneal muscles
Overactive or underactive tibial muscles

As evident, there are a number of foot or ankle issues that can lead to knee pain.

The beauty of Kinesiology is that it can test for discrepancies in the lower limbs that may lead to knee pain.

There are a number of different tests and treatments that Kinesiology can provide to determine the true cause of Knee pain.

My Journey from Conventional Medicine to Holistic Healing

For months, I battled with unexplained health issues — severe bloating every time I ate and relentless hives all over my body. Not only was it physically draining, but it took a real emotional toll. I was coming to the end of my tether!

No Answers, Just Frustration

I turned to conventional medicine for help. My GP ran multiple tests — blood work, lactose and fructose intolerance screenings, even an endoscopy. Everything came back “normal.” According to the system, there was nothing wrong. But I was far from well.
Desperate for answers, I started tracking every bite of food and every symptom in detailed diaries. It soon felt like almost everything I consumed was triggering a reaction. I was overwhelmed, disheartened, and felt really down.

Turning Point: Discovering Kinesiology

That’s when I took a different path and visited a Systematic Kinesiologist. During my session, she used muscle testing to identify sensitivities my body was reacting to — wheat, yeast, and sugar. She also recommended a probiotic tailored to my needs.
I eliminated the trigger foods, took the probiotic daily, and followed her guidance.
Within days, my symptoms disappeared.
No more bloating. No more hives. For the first time in months, I felt like myself again. And after just a few months, I could reintroduce many of the foods I had previously eliminated — without issue.

Why I Made the Shift

I’ve worked in the Health & Fitness industry for over 25 years, and for much of that time, I collaborated with medical professionals through a referral system. I saw thousands of clients over a 17 year period who were placed on medications to “manage” their symptoms — not resolve them. The same pattern, over and over.
My own experience made it clear: true healing doesn’t come from suppressing symptoms. It comes from understanding their root cause.
That’s why I chose to retrain and become a qualified Systematic Kinesiologist.

What I Believe

I’ve now seen time and time again how powerful this approach can be. Kinesiology has transformed my life — and the lives of many of my clients.
“The human body has the ability to heal itself — if given the right conditions.”
In conventional medicine, symptoms are often seen as something to silence. But symptoms are signals. They’re your body’s way of saying something’s not right.
Let’s put it this way: if your smoke alarm goes off, do you just take out the batteries to stop the noise? Or do you check what’s causing the alarm in the first place?

Ready to Start Your Healing Journey?

Whether you're dealing with unexplained symptoms, chronic conditions, or just not feeling your best — there may be more to uncover.
Let’s listen to your body and give it what it truly needs to heal.

It's about the amount of sun you get and being wise when out in it. Just 15 minutes of sun exposure can provide approximately 10,000 iu's of vitamin D. Unfortunately during the the autumn and winter months getting your daily fix within the UK is near impossible!

How muscle imbalances in the hip can lead to knee pain:

A common cause of medial (inner) knee pain can be traced back to muscle imbalances around the hip. For example, when the tensor fasciae latae (TFL) — a small muscle located at the front and side of the hip — becomes tight or overactive, and the gluteus maximus (the main buttock muscle) is weak or underactive, the alignment of the entire leg can be affected.

This imbalance often occurs in runners and can cause the thigh bone (femur) to rotate inward with each step. As a result, the knee joint is pulled inward, creating extra stress on the inner part of the knee and leading to pain or irritation over time.

To correct this issue, it’s important to focus on releasing or stretching the TFL to reduce its tension, while strengthening the gluteus maximus to restore proper hip stability and alignment. This combination helps the knee track correctly during movement and reduces the risk of pain or injury.

Kinesiology can find the imbalance in the hip and correct it with specialised treatment. Advice and guidance will also be given to help correct the imbalance leading to a pain free knee.
