My story
I have been on a real journey with Yoga, I started training in 2014 with Kalavathi at Om Studio, Cardiff. Following teacher training and graduating from university with a BSc in Community Health and Well-Being (1:1) in 2017, I travelled to Pondicherry - India to take part in Ananda Ashramβs highly acclaimed 6 month residential teacher training course. Here I developed my understanding of Rishiculture Ashtanga Yoga intensively, with classes and practise from 5am - 9pm daily under the knowledgeable watch of βAmmajiβ - Yogamani Meenakshi Devi Bhavanani and Yogacharya Dr Ananda Balayogi Bhavanani. Here I was awarded the title βYoga Sadhakaβ and the name Dhananjay.
I currently work for a charity within the NHS delivering mental health and wellbeing interventions and psycho-education courses for stress, anxiety, depression and panic. I also teach a range of Yoga classes in South Wales for all abilities and experience. I am really passionate about mental health, stress reduction and physical fitness. There are many proven mental, physical and even spiritual benefits of practising Yoga and I hope to share what I have learnt with you in class. See you soon!
