A new toddler group in Canford Heath for children with SEND 👋

We are very Excited to announce our first ‘Little Beacons’ group is this Thursday 1.15-2.30pm 18th January. If you are interested in attending please message me or email your interest so I can send a registration form for the invitation group😊. First session is free then a voluntary £3 donation per family thereafter.

Did you know you can contact designability for a FREE whizz bug for your child!?

This month we have received a very low number of applications for a free Wizzybug powered wheelchair, but we have lots right here in our workshop waiting for a new child owner!

We know that there are an estimated 30,000 children in the UK who could benefit from one. We just need to reach them.

Wizzybugs offer young, disabled children under 5 with the opportunity to move themselves around independently, often for the first time in their lives.

Children can play, explore and interact in a way that they never could do before in the coolest looking powered wheelchair there is.

We provide them for FREE to ensure that children can develop important mobility skills in their early years without families having the burden of another expensive piece of equipment.”

Wizzybug is a powered wheelchair for disabled children under 5. It helps those with any condition or developmental delay that affects their ability to walk.

As some of you are aware, we have a fantastic Music Therapist that provide music therapy for preschool children at the Child Development Centre.

What you may not be aware of is that this Music Therapy is funded entirely by generous donations all raised by one local benefactor - Andrew Foot.

Andrew has organised a fundraiser concert on Saturday the 23rd of September. As many of you already know, music therapy really can make a difference to children with additional needs. We are all very grateful to Andrew for his passion and dedication to ensure that there is continued funding for music therapy.

I have been reliably informed that we are in for a treat as Mark Milhofer is a wonderful tenor who sings all over Europe. Please do attend and show your support and share this poster with as many people as you can.

Hannah here!
I welcomed a healthy baby boy into my family back in June 🥰

I’m ready to return to work, get my brain ticking again & help all my lovely patients continue with their development! 👶🏃‍♀️👩‍🦽

I am booked up for September, however if you’re needing a one off review for your child, or regular sessions, please get in touch to book for October onwards 🗓️
