Sooo good to be back with Kathy from to complete Hot Yoga Teacher Training this weekend, including a 2 1/2 hour yoga marathon of 108 Asanas in 41° heat 🥵. It was AMAZING! Thankyou Kathy for sharing your passion and experience of hot yoga 🙏

Always a buzzing, vibrant energy in the room, when happy, smiling (and shining 😜) faces to come together practice a shared love of yoga.🤸

How good is this picture?! 👇 (I don't know where is from so can't credit it 🙈 ....I saw it on story's this week)

It immediately made me think of our Thursday eve classes where we focus on STRENGTH, core, a POWERFUL yoga flow, with FUN and usually a good girly chat thrown in at the end.
....a friendly class of SUPER HERO MUM'S who juggle work, life, family....coming to yoga for a chance to focus on themselves, breathe and move.

👣 FOCUS ON FEET 👣

Today we focused class on our feet....a part of our body we continually use to carry our weight around thoughout life but often don't give much attention to.....but so important in any yoga class.

Rooting down or grounding through the feet is the key to any standing asana. In yoga we practice barefoot to be able sense the connection of our bodies to the ground. Our body like a tree is able to be strong and flexible with strong roots. Every pose growing from the ground upwards. Our feet grounding us and creating energy rising upwards

We focused on our foundation in Tadasana (mountain pose), exploring our connection with the mat, lifting and engaging the arches of our feet and how this effects up into the body, exploring throughout the practice how our feet and their connection to the ground support our strength, alignment and stability in poses.

We stretched the tops and bottoms of our feet easing tensions and awakening them.

In balances or standing postures our feet were challenged to shift weight out of the equilibrium. Building strength to support and bring awareness to our body's.

YOGA MUM

I've not posted on here in agggeess. Life has got really busy again. The LIFE JUGGLE is back! 🤯

Playdates, dentist appointments, swimming lessons, homework, work meetings, debating with the husband over who gets out of bedtime to go to the gym or for a run, constant tidying now the prospect that someone can pop round and be allowed in 😬.

Although it feels amazing for life to be getting back to normal, the mum juggle has hit hard after a slower pace of life for so long. Yoga more than ever has been my saviour and sanity to get through the week, take time to move, breathe, FOCUS ON MYSELF, check in and feel like me. ✌️🧘‍♀️

Yoga by zoom was amazing in lockdown when we all stayed home, but is still running to allow MUMS LIKE YOU to join a yoga class from the comfort of your own home. You don't need to arrange a babysitter and all classes are times to fit in perfectly with bedtime (hopefully🤞🙈)

🧘‍♀️Tuesday 8pm Beginner's gentle flow. Relax and unwind, move your body, breathe and focus on self care to a relaxing and soulful soundtrack.

🧘‍♀️Thursday 8pm. We move, we breathe, we strengthen and build heat. Focusing on the core it is a multi level class with uplifting music to energise you, build strength and tone and make you feel like you again.

All you need is you, space to move and a laptop or phone.... I promise no one will see the washing pile or toy mountain in the corner of the room the other side of the camera 😉

ENERGY

Channelling my inner goddess and connecting to feminine ENERGY vibes on a lovely beach walk on international women's day ⚡✨🌍.... A full week of feminine energy ahead, with Mothers day on Sunday... I'm sure it will be a special one to celebrate, after many mums like me are breathing a sigh of relief with schools back today... while reflecting on how strong and resilient the family unit has been and how we've found that extra inner energy and strength to lift the soul and keep on keeping on 🤍

Utkata kanasana, GODESS pose or fierce angle pose is a strong grounding pose full of feminine energy. Great to rebalance, ground and revitalise. We visited some variations of this in our Thursdays practice which we will revisit this week. Building strength and stability in our lower bodies. Calves, quads, glutes and hamstrings are all strengthed while we focused on breathing, strengthening our shoulders and arms while opening the chest. Creating grounding and stability - helping our prana flow to clear blockages, while building resilience, using breath to stay with the asana. Meeting resistance with mindfulness to build the strength of mind to not give in when the going gets tough.🦸‍♀️✨

HAPPINESS

Anyone else feel like the seasons just flipped over night this weekend.... and your mood and energy just lifted right up with it?! Could this be Spring is definitely here and the countdown to Summer is on?☀️😊🙌

Hope you all had lovely weekends. I spent it with my family...country walks, 'me time' podcast and run, paddle boad and play on the beach in the sun with my boys (and of course lots of yoga in among), finished off with a zoom hooping class with the fabulous which was soo much fun and a chilled movie night...ahhh 🤗 Feeling so very grateful for many things. I'm definitely harnessing the power and energy of the full moon on Saturday to be greatful for what I have, look forward with excitement for what's to come and to use the enthusiasm to work hard for the next part of the journey. 🌕⚡

STRENGTH

When I started a yoga practice I wanted a time for me to relax and focus on myself...... I was amazed by taking this time with my teacher each week, what it did to my mind, my sleep, my focus as well as my body. Yoga made me learn not jusy about myself, but learn about my body and what it was capable of. It was was a path to living in respect of my body: what food I eat, how I look after my body and how with time and practice what my body can achieve in terms of flexibility and STRENGTH.

Yoga has so many benefits including mind body connection, improved health, improved sleep, relaxation and increased flexibility.... But yoga is also a balanced approach to providing functional strength and tone for all of your body.

This new class will focus on building strength and tone, in a fun, playful vinyassa flow to music. We will build heat in the body, looking at using the breath to hold asanas to build stanima and strength. Looking at core work and working slowly and safely to learn drills which help strengthen areas of your body which will develop your own yoga practice.

Hey everyone, hope you all had a love filled weekend and took some time to treat yourself too 💕... I had a busy but amazing weekend of lots of yoga.... completing my YTT course!! ⭐⭐⭐

My yoga practice and now teacher training has been a huge journey for me. Yoga is an amazing tool to empower yourself to see yourself as you are... no layers, no versions... just you. Its a way of relaxing and nourishing your body and your mind, starting with learning to love and appreciate what your body can do.... all you have to do is turn up on the mat.

I've absolutely loved starting to share yoga with some of you over the past few weeks and can't wait to share more..... Now I'm officially qualified 🤗



So I've decided to continue to offer classes for FREE until the end of February 🤗..... Please can you help me share the gift of yoga even further and invite a friend to share the wonderful practice of yoga together with you when you attend a class 🤍


.. I don't know about you but I'm missing seeing friends so much right now... So why not go to a yoga class TOGETHER ... A virtual night out!! Join the class together. Practice together. Log on to zoom afterwards together and then chat about your experience, have a cuppa and make time to show each other some love and check in how each others doing once your mind and body are relaxed.... SELF CARE & SELF LOVE

Last week we focused on heart opening throughout the gentle flow in our Tuesday class. 🤍

We explored using some simple mudras to show gratitude to ourselves for taking time to show self care and for providing ourselves the time and space to breathe, stretch and move our bodies. We finished in an extended savassana, which is a guided full body relaxation.... and everybody's favourite part of class🤍

We will continue exploring the theme of self care and self love tonight in our gentle flow suitable for beginners and everybody🤍

I love the abstract, curved, simple shape of the logo, which was developed looking at the shapes the body makes and space it uses when in yoga asanas. Flowing lines like a flowing sequence.

I love love love them and so grateful for your help and support 🙏🙏🙏🤍🤍🤍🧘‍♀️🧘‍♂️🧘
