Many ladies are worried about attending their first breast screening appointment as they are unsure as to what happens during their mammogram. All mammogram x-rays are taken by a female member of staff, who guides you through the whole process, which takes less than 5 minutes.

Dorset Breast Screening Unit was privileged to be invited to the screening of "Unseen, Unheard: The Untold Breast Cancer Stories of Black Women in the UK" at Solent University. It was a highly informative evening, featuring a panel discussion and Q&A session with survivors, healthcare professionals, and community leaders. The event also included a demonstration on how to check your breasts, conducted by one of our very own DBSU staff members.
