At AutonoMe, we’re celebrating Pancake Day / Shrove Tuesday 🥞
Our app features a range of tasty pancake recipes, supported by step-by-step videos designed especially for people who are neurodiverse and those with learning disabilities.

Whether making pancakes from scratch, using ready-made options, or trying a pre-mixed batter, our accessible, easy-listening videos help build confidence and encourage independence in the home as well as in the workplace.

Here are three tips that we support employers to deliver, when seeking to create a more inclusive working environment for their employees! 👇

✅ Create open conversations and give regular feedback and support.
Feedback can help employees feel confident in their roles and understand their progress. Having an open dialogue with employees can ensure that they feel supported and able to speak up about any issues in the workplace. 💬

✅ Implement, where possible, flexible working arrangements.
Many employees will thrive in environments that offer flexibility, allowing them to work at their own pace and in ways that suit their needs, such as short breaks throughout the day, compressed workweeks, Flexible start and finish times, and more. This will allow people to decompress, reduce anxiety and sensory sensitivities in the workplace, and increase productivity. ⏰

✅ Increase awareness of free programmes that can benefit staff
Signpost staff to access to work funded services that can support your employees, such as AutonoMe to support employees in developing their skills and confidence and overcoming any obstacles they may be experiencing during their employment. Employee in-work support programmes such as AutonoMe are 100% funded by access to Work therefore it is of no cost to the employee or the employer. 💻
