April is

Stress is something we all experience, but prolonged stress can affect both your mental and physical health. It’s important to recognise the signs early and take steps to manage it.

Common signs of stress may include:
• Feeling overwhelmed or anxious
• Trouble sleeping
• Headaches or muscle tension
• Changes in appetite or mood

Simple ways to help manage stress:
✔ Take regular breaks and make time for activities you enjoy
✔ Stay active – even a short walk can help
✔ Talk to someone you trust
✔ Practice relaxation techniques like deep breathing or mindfulness

If stress is affecting your daily life, you’re not alone – support is available. Please follow the link for more information.

April is National Stress Awareness Month to raise awareness of the negative impact of stress. There is no single definition for stress, but the most common explanation is physical, mental, or emotional strain or tension. The Stress Management Society are increasing public awareness about both t...

We’ve found that a third of people who receive a bowel cancer screening test in the UK don’t complete it 🚨

Bowel screening helps spot bowel cancer before symptoms start, when it’s more treatable. A screening kit will be sent to you every two years in the post if you’re within the age range for the screening programme and registered with a GP.

This is between 50-74 in England, Scotland and Wales and between 60-74 in Northern Ireland.

This Bowel Cancer Awareness Month, we want everyone who receives their free bowel cancer screening test to complete and return it as soon as possible.

If you have any questions about screening, you can contact our nurses through our Ask the Nurse service: https://bit.ly/42sJThP

🚨 Bowel Cancer Awareness Month 🚨

This month, we’re raising awareness about bowel cancer – the UK’s 4th most common cancer. The good news? It’s highly treatable, especially when caught early.

💡 Know the symptoms:
• Blood in your poo
• Persistent changes in bowel habits (diarrhoea or constipation)
• Unexplained weight loss
• Ongoing tummy pain or bloating
• Feeling tired all the time (possible sign of anaemia)

👉 Screening saves lives:
If you’re aged 54–74, you’ll automatically receive a home screening kit every 2 years. It’s quick, simple, and could make all the difference.

💬 Don’t ignore symptoms – if something doesn’t feel right, contact us. We’re here to help, and no concern is too small.

❤️ Early detection can save lives. Please share this post to help spread awareness.

April is

World Autism Acceptance Month is an opportunity for everyone to come together and raise awareness, acceptance, and create a society where autistic people are supported and understood.

Today is 💙🌍

Today we recognise and celebrate neurodiversity, and raise awareness of autism and the importance of understanding, acceptance, and inclusion.

💬 How you can help:
• Be patient and understanding
• Listen without judgement
• Respect differences in communication and behaviour
• Promote inclusion in everyday life

Our Practices are committed to providing compassionate, accessible care for all our patients.
