Last week, we had the pleasure of spending a festive afternoon with some of our lovely Medical Secretaries, who help our surgeons everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

After a short presentation over prosecco and nibbles, we got into the Christmas spirit with wreath making, mince pies, and mulled wine.

What an incredible evening!

Our recent Hand & Wrist Arthritis Patient Event, led by the brilliant Hand and Wrist Surgeon Miss Joanna Higgins, brought together over 60 attendees for an evening of learning, discussion, and expert insight.

It was fantastic to see such a great turnout and hear thoughtful questions from everyone. Miss Higgins shared invaluable guidance on arthritis management, treatment options, and advice to support long-term joint health.

We received wonderful feedback from our attendees, here's one in the spotlight: "The evening was excellent in every way. Miss Higgins was fantastic, she made sure to use simple language and relate to everyone, she is very reassuring and informative. Consultant Gynaecologist at Harbour Hospital

Mr Carpenter specialises in all gynaecological conditions, with a particular emphasis on the diagnosis and treatment of endometriosis.

He holds a medical doctorate for his research into endometriosis and leads the Dorset Endometriosis Centre.

In this video, Mr Carpenter talks about the symptoms and treatment of endometrial ablation, offering insights into when the procedure may be appropriate and what patients can expect during recovery.

As proud sponsors, we were delighted to cheer on our amazing bowlers – husband and wife duo David and Angela, who both work at Harbour Hospital.

Angela had an incredible season, winning Ladies Triples and finishing runner-up in Ladies Doubles and Ladies Singles.
