The Shoulder is a sensitive joint and pain can be caused by a number of factors; wear and tear, injury, overuse, and osteoarthritis. These conditions can also cause stiffness, swelling and reduced flexibility in the shoulder joint.
There are some things you can do to help ease shoulder pain yourself. For example; pain medication, gentle exercise, adequate rest and improving your posture.
If your symptoms persist for more than two weeks and aren’t improving, you can book an appointment with our Physiotherapy team who can conduct a thorough examination and recommend a treatment plan or further investigation such as imaging if required.
