Port Talbot Funeral Service

Port Talbot Funeral Service Holy Cross Church, otherwise known as the Chapel of Ease was built in 1827 with the permission of Margams 'Talbot' family.

It closed its doors in 2008 as a Church and was left to deteriorate. Plans were sought to change the Church into a house, which included relocating several headstones and surfacing over those graves to provide a parking area. However, Mr Malcolm Evans, a lifelong member of the Church and local funeral director purchased this beautiful building and restored it to its former glory including the magnificent stained glass window. The surrounding grounds are also maintained meaning the final resting place for your loved ones is both a beautiful and peaceful place to visit.

Love and grief are two sides of the same coin, bound together by the depth of our connections. To grieve is to have loved deeply—to have opened your heart so fully that its absence echoes through your days. Grief is not just sorrow; it’s the lingering presence of love where someone once stood, a testament to how much they mattered. In this way, grief is love’s shadow—proof that what was shared was real, and that love, even in loss, continues to shape us.
