📢 Update: You may see messages from “Dr GP Automate”

We’re always looking for ways to make your care safer and more efficient. Our practice is trialling a new system called GP Automate to help our clinicians manage results more quickly.

🔹 What this means for you:

If your test results are normal, GP Automate helps our clinical team record them safely and efficiently.

You may see “Dr GP Automate” listed as the clinician in your NHS App.

You may also receive text messages from us via GP Automate with your results or other updates.

Please be assured:
✅ All results are still reviewed and overseen by our GP team.
✅ Any results that need follow-up will always be checked by a clinician.
✅ Your personal information remains secure at all times.

This system helps us save valuable time so our clinicians can focus more on patients who need direct care.

Thank you for your understanding and support.

This Remembrance Day, we encourage all GP practices like us to become Veteran Friendly Accredited to support veterans who may be silently struggling with their mental or physical health at this potentially challenging time.

Research by the Royal College of GPs involving 5,000 veterans found that, although more than half (55%) have experienced health issues potentially related to their service, one in seven (14%) have not sought help from a healthcare professional.
However, nearly two-thirds of veterans said they would be more likely to seek help if they knew their practice was Veteran Friendly Accredited. Having taken the quick and easy step to become accredited ourselves, we have seen first-hand the difference it can make.

The free training and resources provided through the scheme have made it easier for us to identify, understand and support veterans and, where appropriate, refer them to specialist services designed specifically for them. Not only has the programme helped us to improve outcomes for our veteran patients, but it has also helped to save time and reduce repeat appointments.
It takes just 20 minutes to sign up, and more than 4,400 practices have already joined the scheme. A University of Chester evaluation found that 99% of practices recommended it.
Be a champion for veterans and their families this Remembrance Day – get your practice Veteran Friendly Accredited. Sign up for free here: rcgp.org.uk/veterans

✈️ Travelling abroad soon? Don’t leave your vaccinations to the last minute! 🌍

If you’re heading overseas, make sure you’re protected with the right travel vaccines. Some need to be given several weeks before travel — so please plan ahead!

💉 When to contact us:
To be fully protected, your first travel appointment must take place at least 6 weeks before you travel.
We recommend contacting us 10–12 weeks before your trip to submit your travel form and book your appointment.

Please note:

Some vaccines aren’t NHS-funded and may incur a charge.

More than one appointment may be needed for full protection.

If you need vaccines at short notice, or if demand is high, you may need to attend an alternative travel clinic.

We provide advice for all holidaymakers and business travellers, but not for occupational health (including education courses).

📄 Please submit your travel vaccination form at least 6 weeks before you travel so we have time to process it and arrange your appointment. Travel clinics are not NHS funded so we have to be mindful of essential care when looking at travel clinic capacity.

For more information on travel vaccines, visit the NHS and PMG's websites:

Plan early — stay safe and enjoy your travels! 🌎💉
