We have recently sent out a text reminder to women aged 50-70years who are eligible for breast screening, to encourage them to attend.

All eligible patients will receive a letter invitation from the breast screening service early in 2026, there is no need to contact them at this stage.

We have been informed by the breast service that the appointments are not yet open for booking so please wait for your letter of invitation. We apologise for any confusion this may have caused.

If you have any concerns about your cancer screening, please get in touch with the surgery to discuss this.

During this festive period please ensure that you have your prescription request in plenty of time for us to process, followed by the time your nominated pharmacy needs to dispense your medication.

Ordering online via the NHS app is the quickest way to request your medication.

Requests that are received after this Wednesday 17th December cannot be guaranteed to arrive/ get processed by Christmas.

Due to the increase in flu cases in our area we have added extra flu vaccination clinic dates for eligible patients.

100 appointments have been booked already over the weekend. For those that have received self-booking links, we have added extra slots for you to book your flu vaccination.

Please do book your free flu vaccination with us at the surgery if you are eligible.

UKHSA data currently shows flu activity is increasing and now circulating at medium levels. The increase in cases is presenting earlier than in previous years with cases being more than 50% higher than last year.

Emergency department attendance with flu-like-illness and the number of flu cases confirmed has increased.

As a result we will be adding more flu clinics dates for eligible patients and encourage those aged 65+ and at risk to book in.

We aim to release more flu clinic dates tomorrow (11/12/2025).
