Today, the Live-in Care South West team says a heartfelt farewell to Alison, our wonderful Care Coordinator, as she begins her well-earned retirement after 6 and a half amazing years with us 💙

Alison has been such a valued part of our team, always kind, dedicated and ready to support everyone around her. She’ll be greatly missed by colleagues and clients alike.

Christine and Ronald first met 23 years ago in the doorway of Primark in Derby’s Cornmarket. They felt an instant connection, but at the time they were both happily married. Within the 1st year of meeting they sadly lost both their spouses. This sad occasion led them to reconnect and a simple cup of coffee reopened the conversation, friendship blossomed into love and soon Ron proposed. This January, they celebrated 20 happy years of marriage.💍

They honeymooned in Tenerife, which became their special place, returning each summer to relive those precious first memories together.💕

Now a resident at Regency Care Home, Christine is visited by Ron every single day, a quiet testament to their enduring love. Ron says Christine reminds him of Elizabeth Taylor, beautiful inside and out. Christine calls Ron her rock, adding that he brings laughter and light to her life.

Proud parents and grandparents to five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, their Valentine’s wish is simple: to spend the next 10 years side by side. 💝True love 💖

When Andris moved to Commodore House last year, he arrived in a wheelchair, unable to walk. Even then, he held onto one powerful goal, to one day walk again.

Through sheer determination, daily exercises and the incredible support of our team working alongside OT and physio, last week that dream became a reality💙.

Andris walked up the stairs! There were happy tears all round and just look how proud he is👏.

We’re excited to welcome Suzanne Barnard to Agincare as our new Group Quality Director! 👏 As a Registered Nurse, Suzanne brings a fantastic breadth of senior leadership experience, having led across clinical services, safeguarding, quality assurance, community care and hospital settings.

Suzanne will be joined by a brilliant support team, including Vicky Morris, a former CQC inspector with a real passion for quality and safeguarding, and Vicky Reid, an experienced operational leader and Registered Manager who has grown with Agincare over the past six years.
