We'd love your help 💛☕️

Christmas can often be a difficult time, particularly for people who are experiencing loneliness.

This Christmas, we're encouraging people to because for some, a simple conversation could mean everything.

We're sending out FREE "I'm Happy To Chat" table signs to venues across the UK - anywhere people gather for a cuppa, a meal, or a drink - to help spark conversation, spread connection and tackle loneliness head on.

☕️Pop them on a table OR let customers pick them up at the till

If you would like to get involved, find the link in the comments 💬

Let's give the gift of conversation this Christmas🎄

Parents of autistic children are often forced to do poor quality 'training' on 'being a good parent'. It's really bad, and victimises those who just need better information.

Cothú is a totally different course. It encourages parents to parent the way their autistic children need. It educates parents on what autism really is, and what their children might require of them. It's supportive, neuro-affirming and warm.

But we need trainers to deliver it. I can train you to deliver Cothú however you'd like to - maybe for free as part of a wider service, or maybe for payment as you strike out as an independent trainer. It's your choice. You get all the resources, professional videos, and my input as a trainer.

My next cohort is in February, and if you'd like to know more, drop me an email via my website www.petewharmby.com. We had 9 new trainees in September - it'd be great if we could get 10 or more for the next one.

I hope to see you in February!

" are just as good as therapists" 😲

I just asked Gemini to list all the words, along with a count of their appearance, in alphabetical order from the scene between the Black Knight and King Arthur in "Monty Python and the Holy Grail".

I scanned the list and found it had omitted the word "scratch",

And people think LLMs are going to treat their mental health?* 🤔

*Actually I regularly embrace clients' discussions on using LLMs because as a counsellor my training and experience actually helps clients word queries to LLMs much more helpfully than querying them alone. But this was fun 😊

It's becoming a common question of therapists, so FWIW: I neither use AI in my counselling work (summarising case notes, asking for clinical advice etc), nor do I use online tools that hold/store client's personal information (such as note taking).
