To mark the start of a new school term, Cambian Hill House School welcomed a visit from the Treehouse Theatre , who performed a special interactive version of Alice in Wonderland.
The performance was colourful, engaging and full of energy, with students enjoying the music, costumes and drama throughout.
Alongside the fun, the story shared an important message about kindness, which really resonated with everyone.
The inclusive approach of the performers was particularly lovely. All of our students were encouraged to take part, and many thoroughly enjoyed getting involved, especially trying on the costumes!
Seventeen years after starting his career as a Teaching Assistant at Cambian The Forum School, Matt Robson returned last week to deliver specialist staff training and professional development, this time as Director of Empower Training and Consultancy.
The session sparked valuable discussion and received fantastic feedback from staff, highlighting the practical insight, depth of knowledge, and quality of learning shared throughout the day.
One particularly meaningful moment for Matt was delivering training to Becky, who mentored him during his early years at The Forum. A true full-circle experience, and a powerful reminder of the lasting impact that early support and strong leadership can have.
Matt’s journey is a brilliant example of career progression in action, showing how early opportunities, encouragement, and investment in people can shape long-term growth, leadership, and impact.
It was a pleasure to welcome Matt back to The Forum, and a real privilege to learn from him. Thank you for such a valuable and engaging session!

Creativity is flourishing at Cambian Whinfell School!
Our young people are back at Whinfell full of creativity, and their latest artwork speaks volumes. They’ve been creating beautifully detailed pieces inspired by shells and vibrant sea creatures, full of colour and imagination. It’s wonderful to see their confidence growing as they develop their skills and work towards their GCSEs.
We’re also delighted to welcome a new pupil to Whinfell. He has already settled in brilliantly getting stuck into creative activities from day one and showing fantastic commitment.
Here’s to a year filled with growth, confidence, and imagination at Whinfell!
Will you be watching the Masked Singer final tomorrow?
One of our students is counting down the hours! She’s a huge fan - she knows every celebrity from every episode, sings along at school, and treasures the crochet masked singers her mum makes just for her.
After her teacher sent a thoughtful letter, she received the most incredible surprise: a personalised video message from host Joel Dommett himself!
A huge thank you to Joel and the team for making our young fan’s week truly unforgettable.

We’re proud to share the fantastic achievements of our young people at Cambian Spring Hill School.
Every Spring Hill leaver successfully completed their studies and secured their chosen next step, whether that was moving on to college or starting an apprenticeship.
These outstanding results reflect the hard work, resilience and determination of our students, as well as the commitment and support of the staff and families around them.
We’re proud to see Cambian Pengwern College featured in the Rhyl Journal following a glowing Estyn HMI inspection.
The article highlights what makes Pengwern so special, a caring, supportive environment where learners feel safe, happy and fully engaged, alongside a hands-on curriculum that builds independence, confidence and real-life skills.
Place2Be 's Children’s Mental Health Week is a national campaign that shines a light on the importance of children and young people’s mental health. It’s a chance to celebrate the places, people, and experiences that help young people feel safe, supported, and valued.
This year’s theme, “This is my place,” highlights the environments where young people can truly feel they belong.
Across Cambian, we are committed to creating supportive, nurturing environments where children and young people feel safe to be themselves, accepted for who they are, and valued as individuals. Our schools and services work together to foster a strong sense of belonging, helping young people build confidence, feel connected, and thrive as part of caring communities.

How a simple conversation turned into a life changing project in Pakistan.
Thanks to the incredible support of Cambian Brook View School and the CareTech Foundation , a community in Pakistan is now benefiting from continuous, cost free solar electricity providing clean running water throughout the day without the burden of high utility costs.
The project came to light after Principal Rebekah Dennett asked two of her colleagues about their recent trip to Pakistan. Through that conversation, she learnt about the incredible work they had been doing to support communities there.
Inspired by their efforts, Rebekah approached the CareTech Foundation to apply for a grant to help with the work being done in Pakistan, a decision that ultimately brought the project to life!
We’re incredibly proud of the dedication from everyone involved!

Becky Miller, Deputy Head Manager at Cambian Dilston College, recently shared the favourite part of her role and it perfectly captures what Dilston is all about.
“For me, my favourite aspect of the role is to see our students thrive."
Becky reflects on how every journey is different, with each student moving on to their own unique pathway and that’s what makes the experience so special.
At Dilston College, there is a strong understanding that there’s no single route to success. The team are proud to walk alongside students as they discover their strengths, shape their goals, and move forward on their own individual paths.
Last week, pupils and staff at Cambian Wisbech School came together at the Reading Café, a new school initiative created for pupils to enjoy a relaxed, café-style session that celebrates the joy of reading.
The Reading Café will be taking place on a half-termly basis and is a great opportunity for pupils to spend time with different classes and staff members, helping to build connections, strengthen relationships and nurture a strong sense of belonging across the school community.
Its a calm and welcoming atmosphere, where reading is shared and enjoyed as a positive and sociable experience.

Cambian is one of the largest providers of specialist education and behavioural health services for children in the UK. Our services have a specific focus on individuals who present with high severity needs.
We provide a broad range of specialist services across England and Wales. These services include specialist education schools and colleges for both day and residential learners, residential care homes and a therapeutic fostering service.
Our specialist education schools and colleges support children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Asperger Syndrome (AS), moderate to severe learning disabilities, associated challenging behaviours and complex needs.
Our specialist residential care homes support children with social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH) and associated complex needs. We provide care, therapy and education for a discrete cohort of needs within these homes; this includes provisions for children who have experienced Complex Trauma (neglect and abuse), those who have been sexually exploited, and those with a learning disability. These homes are all supported by specialists schools to support their individual educational needs.
We also run a therapeutic fostering service through which we are able to support children with a variety of complex needs within a family environment.
We recognise that each child is an individual with their own needs, desires and dreams, and we are fully committed to supporting each child to enable them to achieve ‘their personal best’.
