✨ Team Development Update! ✨
On Thursday, our Cuffley Manor Home Manager Alex, Cooperscroft Home Manager Subin, and our Practice Development Lead Millie attended the Skills for Care Overview of Mandatory Training Requirements webinar.
The session focused on the essential training our team members need when supporting individuals with learning disabilities and autism or come in to contact with. We heard from knowledgeable speakers from Skills for Care, CQC, and NHS England — and it was incredibly informative!
A key highlight was the discussion around the Oliver McGowan Code of Practice, which had its final consultation on 6th September 2025. The code sets clear expectations on the content and delivery of training, ensuring that support for people with learning disabilities and autism is safe, person-centred, and of the highest quality.
We’re committed to ensuring our teams are equipped with the right knowledge and skills to provide outstanding care. 💙

💕 Cuffley Goes Above & Beyond: Supporting Independence Through Day Trips 💕

Yesterday, our fantastic Wellbeing Team — led by Vanya — enjoyed a wonderful trip to London Colney with three of our residents - Laurie, Beth & Lise.

The smiles and the focus in the photos say it all — they absolutely loved it!

🌿 Stress Awareness Week! 🌿

Last week, we marked the occasion with a special workshop delivered by our Mental Health First Aider, focusing on stress, its effects, and how we can manage it in everyday life.

Residents learned how our thoughts, actions, and routines play a big role in how we cope with stress — and explored simple techniques to stay grounded, calm, and in control.

Thank you to everyone who joined in and contributed to an open, supportive conversation about wellbeing.

❤️ Remembrance Sunday 2025 ❤️

It was truly an honour for Cuffley Manor, alongside our sister home Cooperscroft, to take part in the town’s Memorial Parade on Sunday 9th November.

Our Business Development Manager, Zach - who laid our wreath, said: "I can't understate how special Sunday was. It was great to see our community coming together - the youngest generations, along with the eldest, coming together to recognise the sacrifice that was made. It was a special and proud moment for TLC."

To be recognised among such influential individuals, including MPs, councillors, ex-service personnel, and local businesses, was a moment of real pride for us all.

The two-minute silence was perfectly observed by everyone present — a moving tribute that reminded us all: we will remember them. 🌹

Our thanks and admiration go to all those who organised such a meaningful and well-coordinated event.

This followed Friday’s rain-soaked but beautiful ceremony with Canopy Nursery, where Cuffley supported the little ones in paying their respects — more on that in our next post. ❤️

🎆 Guy Fawkes Night at Cuffley Manor Care Home! 🎆

What a wonderful day of celebration we’ve had at Cuffley Manor! 🎉

Our morning began with a delightful performance from our talented entertainer, who filled the home with music and joy. Her wonderful singing had everyone smiling, clapping, and singing along — a perfect way to start the day!

In the evening, our residents gathered in our beautiful lounges to enjoy a spectacular fireworks display lighting up the night sky. Thanks to our amazing team members, residents were able to witness the colourful bursts and sparkling lights from the comfort and warmth of each floor's lounges.

Laughter, music, and plenty of “oohs” and “aahs” made it a truly magical Guy Fawkes celebration — together as one big Cuffley Manor family. ❤️

When Halloween Magic Brought Our Team Together 🎃💛

What an amazing team-building day!! From costume shopping adventures to carving some stunning pumpkins and doing the Time Warp, our team brought the spirit, the laughter, and the creativity!

A huge shout-out to both our day and night teams — every celebration reminds us how strong our bond is and how much stronger it keeps growing.
