Today at Cuffley Manor we had a wonderful day of learning and community. Our CSM Sheila delivered an insightful Dementia Awareness talk for team members and local residents, and in the afternoon historian Nick treated our residents to a fascinating look at the history of Potters Bar. It was a really exciting day — thank you to everyone who contributed and attended and for new collaborations!!!

Today, we introduced the "Dying for a Chat" project to our unit managers and team leaders, focusing on how we can encourage open conversations with our residents about their wishes. Today at Cuffley Manor we celebrated St George’s Day with love, music and delicious treats! Our crepe and waffle station was a hit — huge thanks to our wonderful kitchen team. Together with Cooperscroft Care Home we welcomed a very special, sweet furry guest: a miniature pony who brought smiles to everyone’s faces. As part of our “Bee Active, Bee Happy, Bee Healthy” week, we hosted a fantastic Networking Breakfast bringing together professionals, residents, and our amazing team members.

Our live waffle and pancake station was a huge hit, creating a warm and lively atmosphere where everyone connected, shared conversations, and enjoyed delicious treats together. Moments like these truly highlight the power of community and well-being.

Today, we focused on wellbeing for both our residents and our amazing team

From calming sound bath sessions to relaxing massage therapies, it was all about creating moments of peace, reducing stress, and promoting overall happiness.
