A truly memorable day. An honour to serve the community for many years to come.
We celebrated the new premises this month with an official open day, attended by clergy, clients, friends and colleagues.
I'm sure my dad would be very proud.
His belief was simple. To care for families with dignity, compassion and respect at the hardest moment of their life. Although he is no longer with us, his values remain at the heart of everything we do. We carry on with the same care and integrity he stood for.

Barbara Burgess was a beloved character and legend in Thornton Cleveleys, known for her vibrant personality and unforgettable spirit!

Growing up in Poulton with her equally mischievous sisters, Kathleen and Lynda, there was never a dull moment in her childhood.

In fact, she famously disregarded the only s*x education advice she received at school: to avoid wearing anything red!

After marrying Dave, Barbara became a cherished mother to Julie and later a devoted grandma to Adam, Steven, and Lucy.

She truly embraced life, refusing to grow old gracefully, and her lively nature endeared her to many.

Yesterday, we gathered for her funeral with C. T. Hull Funeral Service, where family and friends came out in droves to celebrate the wonderful woman she was.

Barbara's legacy of love and laughter will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her. ❤️✨

🌟 Remembering Dave Wade 🌟

Yesterday, we gathered to celebrate the life of a remarkable man who tragically died far too soon.

Dave had so much to look forward to in his life —his loving marriage to his childhood sweetheart, Nat, who spoke so beautifully in tribute to her husband, and his pride in being a dedicated father to two wonderful daughters.

He was an also a son and brother, cherished by his family, and found his true calling at The Harbour psychiatric hospital, where he touched countless lives with his kindness and compassion.

Tragically, all of this changed in an instant after a devastating accident cut his life short at just 36.

The emotions were overwhelming at his funeral in Carleton yesterday with C. T. Hull Funeral Service, as we reflected on the joy he brought to so many lives.

The music chosen was perfect - in closing ‘Fallen Angel’ and ‘Lifetime’ by Three Days Grace and ‘Sound of Sipence’ by Disturbed.

This photo, taken earlier this year, captures a proud moment when Dave finally passed his driving test.

In a selfless act, he signed his organ donor card, allowing six of his vital organs to help others live on.

Dave’s legacy of love, laughter, and generosity will forever remain in our hearts. 💙✨

🌻 beautiful words Richard Spedding - Humanist wedding, vow renewal & funeral celebrant ❤️ for a beautiful girl. May she rest in peace x

Today, we gathered to celebrate the life of the incredible Kat Maylia, who left us far too soon at just 36 years old.

Kat, quite righty, strongly said recently that it just ‘wasn’t fair’ that she couldn’t finally marry her fiancé Lewis and watch their beautiful children, Frankie and Corah, grow up.

Lytham Park Cemetery & Crematorium was packed today as friends and family came together to honour her at her Humanist Ceremoniesfuneral, a testament to the love she inspired in all of those closest to her.

Originally from Ashington, Northumbria, Kat moved to Blackpool in her teens, where she pursued her dream of becoming an accountant and found her perfect job in the finance team at BAE.

Kat continually embraced her life fully, surrounded by her Blackpool family and the many friends she cherished and was always there for.

Her bond with her grandad Michael and aunty Deborah remained strong throughout her life, reflecting the deep connections she valued.

As I concluded my tribute, I shared these words:

“If the world was full of more Kats, then it would be an infinitely better place.”, which I sincerely believe.

Once again, wonderful to work with the lovely Rebecca from C. T. Hull Funeral Service.

Rest in peace, Kat. You will be deeply missed. 💔✨
