At the request of John’s family, and with their permission, we sadly announce that John passed away peacefully at Trinity Hospice on 19th December 2025, aged 55 years.
A dearly loved husband to Rachel, devoted dad to Eleanor and Emily, much-loved son to Mary, dear brother to Phil and Bernie and the late James, loving son in law, uncle and cousin. John will be deeply missed by all his family and friends.
John’s funeral service will be held at St Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Great Eccleston, on Friday 16th January at 1:00pm, followed by cremation at Carleton Crematorium (family only).
Refreshments will be served after the church service at The Farmers Arms, Great Eccleston and all are welcome to attend.
Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, may be made to Great Eccleston Cancer Research UK and Trinity Hospice. Donations may be given directly to the funeral director, to the family, or there will be an opportunity to leave donations as you exit the church following the service.

At the request of Ernie’s family and with their permission, we sadly announce on 6th December 2025 Ernie passed away at home.
The dearly beloved Husband of the late Muriel, loving father of Tina, Adam and Pam a dear Father in Law and a devoted Grandfather.
Ernie was the founder of G Line Coaches, a business he built with dedication and pride.
Ernie's funeral will take place on Saturday 3rd January 2026, at St James’ Church Stalmine at 11.00am, followed by burial at St John’s Church Out Rawcliffe.
Refreshments will be served afterwards at Out Rawcliffe Village Hall.
Any donations, if desired, to Trinity Hospice or The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association, in memory of Ernie's dog, Ivy.

As the year draws to a close, it’s common to think of the people who are special to us – especially those we've lost. That’s why we’ve chosen to take part in Light a Candle.

From 15 to 21 December we’ll be posting digital candles in memory of those who can’t be with us during the festive season. If you’d like to create a virtual candle, please click the following link where you can choose a design and write a short message to a loved one.

There's no cost for you or your family to get involved and create an online memorial.

We’re pleased to announce the return of Light a Candle this Christmas!

Taking part in this Christmas’s Light a Candle gives you the opportunity to create online memorials throughout the festive period.

Christmas is a special time to celebrate with family and friends, and our virtual candles are a thoughtful way to pay tribute to loved ones who are no longer with us.

We'll be sharing virtual candles on our page between 15 and 21 December. There's no cost for you or your family to get involved and create an online memorial.

With the permission and at the request of Alan’s family, we are deeply saddened to share that Alan passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on 23rd November 2025, aged 76 years old.

A much loved and loving Husband to Denise, devoted Father to sons Andrew and Craig, Father-in-Law to Laraine and Erica, cherished Grandfather to Luke, Declan, Nathan, Oliver and Evie.
Alan will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.

At the request of David’s family and with their permission, we sadly announce on 21st November 2025, David passed away peacefully in Blackpool Victoria Hospital aged 80 years.

A loving husband to Myra, a much-loved father to Lindon and a dear father-in-law to Vicky.

David will be sorely missed.

David’s Funeral Service will take place at 11:45am on Wednesday 10th December 2025 at Carleton Crematorium.
