Sandford is a beautiful Care Home situated just a few hundred meters away from the local shops and amenities of Prestatyn town Centre. The Care Home is ideally placed boasting some beautiful views of both the Irish Sea to the front of the building and, to the back of the building there are stunning views of the rolling hills of Gwaenysgor. The residential unit within the Care Home is completely purpose-built, with exceptionally large and spacious bedrooms furnished to exceedingly high standards and every room is fully en-suite with a walk-in wet room, toilet, and washbasin. There is a tastefully decorated communal lounge and dining area and a lift to get between floors. There is a communal bathroom available with electronic bath hoists to support those with mobility problems to access the bathing facilities with ease. The residential dementia unit is a part of the original house and, each bedroom is spacious and has a washbasin and is fully furnished to an exceedingly high standard. Some of the bedrooms on the residential dementia unit have their own access into the spacious and secure sensory garden area which leads from the large communal lounge and, there is a beautiful dining area. There are several communal bathrooms again equipped with bathing, showering and toileting facilities. The residential dementia unit is very dementia friendly with coloured doors, dementia signs and coloured handrails and toilet seats etc. In addition to this, there is an additional ‘quiet’ seating area away from the main communal lounge and, the unit boasts its very own indoor ‘Memory Lane’ whereby residents, their loved ones and staff can reminisce over past times.
