Casual Funeral Service Operative (Driver/Bearer) – As & When Required

We are a long-established, family-run funeral directors seeking a compassionate and reliable individual to join our team on an “as and when required” basis as a Funeral Service Operative (Driver/Bearer).

This role involves supporting our funeral services with professionalism, dignity, and respect at all times.

Duties will include:

• Driving funeral vehicles, including the hearse and limousine

• Acting as a pallbearer and assisting with coffin bearing

• Supporting funeral services and liaising courteously with families

• Participation in an out-of-hours on-call roll (as required), including evenings and weekends

The ideal candidate will:

• Be smart in appearance with a calm and respectful manner

• Hold a full, UK driving licence

• Be flexible with availability, including short-notice call-outs

• Be physically able to carry out manual handling duties

• Live within a reasonable distance of Prestatyn for on-call response

• Experience in the funeral profession is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided. Most importantly, we are looking for someone who is dependable, compassionate, and able to work sensitively with bereaved families.

This is a casual position with hours offered as required, including participation in an out-of-hours on-call service.

NOTICE TO ATTENDEES

MEMORIAL SERVICE FOR THE LATE MR. GRAHAM ROBERT ANWYL

Friday 23rd January | 12:00pm

Attendees of the memorial service for the late Mr. Graham Robert Anwyl at the Marble Church, Bodelwyddan, are respectfully advised of the following parking arrangements.

Where possible, guests are kindly encouraged to car share with friends or family members.

In addition to the limited parking spaces available outside the church, the Grindal family have very generously granted permission for attendees to park along the side of the road leading to Ty Mawr Farm. Our representatives will be present to assist and guide attendees with these arrangements.

Please note that this road is in constant use and cannot be blocked at any time.

Please also be advised that the walk from Ty Mawr Farm to the church may take several minutes. Attendees should take this into consideration when planning their arrival for the 12:00pm service.

Our sincere thanks are extended to the Grindal family for their kindness and support.
