A balanced diet includes protein, carbohydrate, good fats, vitamins and minerals.

2. Stay hydrated 💧
Drinking plenty of fluids is important to prevent dehydration from losses, due to frequent diarrhoea. Water helps digestion and potentially prevent constipation.

3. Diversity is key 🍏🥕🌾🥛
Diversity of plants such as fruit, vegetables and grains is important for a healthy gut and optimal health.

🏥 Christel is a highly experienced Clinical Dietitian with more than 20 years in the NHS, specialising in gut health, renal medicine, and critical care.

🧑‍⚕️ She now works in private practice focusing on IBS, IBD, Coeliac Disease, and other digestive disorders.

Christel is HCPC-registered, a member of the British Dietetic Association, and trained to an advanced level in the low FODMAP diet.
