✨🎅🏽 Top tips to help manage your acid reflux this Christmas! 🎅🏽✨

Festive feasting and drinking is all part of the Christmas magic. 🎄💫

Got acid reflux or GORD? You can still enjoy the treats you love - just a little smarter. ✅

Our expert advice to help minimise acid reflux this festive season:

🍽️ Pay attention to portion sizes - eating smaller meals more often can keep you from overeating and put less pressure on your stomach.
🍗🥦 Balance your plate - switch from mostly heavy meats and fat-filled sides to lean protein and lighter sides such as roasted veggies, a side salad or fruit.
🍇 Also cook veggies in olive oil instead of butter.
⏰ Keep an eye on the clock - eating later at night can be more common, but try not eating two to three hours before bedtime.
🍷 ☕️ Limit alcohol and caffeine - Christmas cocktails
🍸 and spiced lattes can worsen acid reflux symptoms.
Drink plenty of💧instead. Water helps with digestion and dilutes your stomach acid.
🌿 Herbal teas like peppermint are also good options, especially if you’d like to have a warm drink this time of year.
