What we are looking for:
• Someone who works well with vulnerable adults
• Someone who can complete appropriate training
• Someone who has experience in the care industry
• Someone who has good leadership skills
• Someone who is able to keep up to date with regulations, requirements and audit procedures
• Someone who can work full and part time hours (7.30am-7.30pm, 7.30am-1.30pm, 1.30pm-7.30pm)

It is with great disappointment that we must announce the cancellation of our annual firework display. Despite providing significant advance notice and offering a strictly limited display duration of no more than 15 minutes to allow for arrangements to safeguard local livestock, we have received direct threats from a local resident regarding the event.

The safety and wellbeing of our community, volunteers, and neighbours must always come first, and we cannot proceed under such circumstances.

This decision has not been taken lightly. Many of our residents, including those who are unable to attend public events elsewhere, look forward to this community celebration each year. We understand the sense of loss and share in the frustration at being unable to continue what has become a cherished local tradition.

We are committed to fostering a respectful community environment and hope that, in future, all members of our community can work together constructively so that events like this can take place safely and harmoniously.

Let’s get behind and support our local care home, it’s an absolute travesty the local council could even contemplate the closure of a care home! It’s not financially viable because the government don’t pay enough to care for our elderly, those who have dedicated their lives to funding this country 😢

I have launched a joint petition with Kirkham Town Council calling on Lancashire County Council to keep Milbanke Care Home and Day Centre open. The county council recently put Milbanke at risk, leaving residents, families, and staff worried about the future. 🏠

Milbanke has been a much-loved part of our community for generations, providing care and support to local residents and their families. It must stay open, so please sign the petition to send a clear message to the county council and share it with your family and friends: tinyurl.com/SaveMilbanke 💚

Today is a sad day for us all at Littlewood as we lay to rest our wonderful friend and colleague Yvonne. She was an asset to our home and residents and was so very loved by us all. Rest in paradise Yvonne, you’ll forever be missed🤍
