⬆️ This patient visited our friends at Grant Chiropody and Podiatry as they didn’t like this long-standing growth under their nail, that came about after a workplace injury! Adam got asked to visit and take a look.

👣 He set about carefully to debride the area & have sent the growth off for testing. We believe it’s probably a subungual hyperkeratosis (a type of nail Psoriasis almost) - but it’s always best to be sure!

😱 What actually gives us the fear are people’s habits & attitudes toward their foot health! Ignoring pain or symptoms until they become unmanageable - and not turning to their Podiatrist at the first sign of lower limb trouble!

💭 If you get a sharp, stabbing pain on the bottom of the foot in the morning - we can hazard an educated guess that you’re maybe suffering from Plantar Fasciitis

👣 Plantar fasciitis is pain in your heel or arch, caused from irritation and microscopic tears in the plantar fascia, a thick band of tissue on the sole of your foot.

⚠️ This typically occurs due to overuse. We see it a lot in people who do jobs or hobbies that require prolonged standing, walking, or running. You may be predisposed to having this due to structural issues in your feet.
