Lately I’ve been noticing how many of us say we’re “fine” yet our bodies quietly tell another story.
Not always in the form of stress or emotion…
But in the aftermath of what we’ve lived through:
• Old injuries or surgeries
• Childbirth or illness
• Years of bracing, coping, and just getting on with it
A hip that never quite released.
A belly that stayed tight after surgery.
A neck or back that aches more when life gets overwhelming.
What I’ve seen in myself and in my work with clients is this: our bodies remember.
Not to punish us, but often to protect us.
And sometimes thinking, talking, or “pushing through” isn’t what creates relief… because what’s stuck isn’t always in the mind.
Why I now integrate TRE® & somatic practices
TRE® (Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises) and somatic practices have been a gentle way to support the nervous system in releasing deep muscular tension, without force, without reliving the past, and without needing to explain anything.
They offer the body a quiet invitation to unwind what it’s been holding for far too long.
It’s not dramatic. It’s not a quick fix.
But over time, people often notice:
• A body that feels more grounded and at ease
• Less bracing, less “on guard”
• Fewer emotional spikes — more pause and choice
• Deeper, more restorative sleep
• Long-held tension beginning to soften
• Old injuries recovering with more ease as protective holding releases
• Pain flare-ups easing as the body learns it is safe to let go.
My Invitation to you…
I now offer a gentle online Introduction to TRE® & Somatic Practices twice a month on Tuesdays for women who want to explore this work.
No pressure. No need to share anything personal.
Simply a supportive space for your body to feel a little safer, softer and more like home.

And if not, perhaps this is just your reminder to unclench your jaw, breathe into your belly, and let your shoulders soften.
