Social media can make it feel like if we’re not lifting heavier, doing more reps or pushing longer distances, we aren’t progressing.
But sometimes, real progress comes from taking things back to basics.
I’ve been dealing with some lower back pain during my squats, so I decided to strip things back and focus on form. Lighter weights, more controlled reps, plus a few small tweaks to technique have made a HUGE difference - my back feels better, and higher reps still bring the burn 🔥
Now that the pain has settled, I can gradually build the weight back up the right way.
