I am now EMFAiF qualified! (Emergency Medical First Aid in Football)
A really intense but good day at St Georges Park today 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

This qualification enables me to carry on being a “physio” in Step’s 3 & 4 of the non league system. And more importantly it has broadened my knowledge and confidence of player injuries.

What was covered today was how to deal with Concussion, Airway Management, Head Injuries, Spinal Injury Management, Emergency Action Planning and other medical emergencies.

Can't believe it... we're finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel! Leaving the office for the first time today and it's getting lighter 🙌🏻.

Better days are on the horizon 🌞 ⛅️.

We're wrapping up the Year of the Snake 🐍, so let's shed those old habits and get ready to charge ahead with the Fire Horse 🐎!

Looking ahead to 2026 at SW Sports Therapy ⬇️

As we move into 2026, I’m making a few updates to how SW Sports Therapy runs.

These changes are about creating structure while continuing to deliver high quality, personalised treatment for you.

🔹 Updated pricing
My session prices have been reviewed for 2026 and will reflect the time, skill and treatment provided.

🔹 Simplified treatments
Techniques such as dry cupping, IASTM and taping will be used where appropriate.

🔹 Friday emergency appointments
Fridays will be reserved for emergency bookings only

🔹 Same day bookings
Same day appointments on Mondays and Wednesdays will include a small charge

🔹 Cancellation policy
A 24-hour cancellation policy will now be in place to protect appointment time and availability.

🔹 Mobile massage
Mobile sports therapy will be available, by request, with minimum booking requirements.

The time has come!

A full year of Sports Massage has passed, and it's been an unreal year. I'm looking forward to seeing the stats of how many I've done.

My last working day will be 17th December, as I need to give my body a good rest. Since the summer, I have struggled with my foot after breaking my toe and still carried on massaging.

I will be tweaking a few things between now and 1st January; any information will be on my website and here.

But until then, please see the remaining slots for December. 🎅🏼🎄

New chapter: I've recently taken on the role of physio alongside being assistant manager at .

It's been an unexpected yet rewarding turn in my football journey. Through SW Sports Therapy, I've enjoyed prioritizing player wellbeing and recovery.

I've already got qualifications in football first aid and I'm looking forward to attending more courses at St Georges Park.

I've also had the chance to connect with knowledgeable people from other clubs in our league.

My massage room at Farley Way has become a haven, making this new venture a no-brainer. I'm excited to share content on player recovery, rehab and getting players back to their best.

This post might be a bit somber, but I think many of you will understand. The shift in seasons really gets to me - waking up and coming home in the dark, dealing with illnesses and missing the sunlight. I know we're all looking forward to Christmas, but this time of year can feel really challenging.
