Our latest CQC inspection report achieved a rating of good in all 5 categories, with a good overall rating.
We are rated a Band 5 Care Home, the best there is, by Nottinghamshire County Council.
We have also been awarded the Dementia Quality Mark, for excellence in dementia care, by Nottinghamshire County Council.

We have finally finished our autumn piece to go all the wall. The residents have had a fun week of quizzies, craft sessions, morning exercise and ball actvities.

It has been a busy two weeks from morning exercise, singing and dancing, playing board games, pampering sessions, joyful jukebox has been to entertain us with a little singing and playing of instruments. Least but not least we having started out autumn arts and craft, the final pieces will be shown next week.

Everyone had great fun this week, singing, doing jigsaws, crosswords, chatting together and the favourite is the parachute which makes everyone laugh.

The party for our Caribbean Afternoon has started a little early, straight after breakfast with a bit of dancing and some games. Mocktails and a bit of beach time in the garden to follow this afternoon!

We were all delighted to have a visit from a Pets As Therapy Team. The wonderful volunteers do such a gret job bringing happiness to the people they visit. There was lots of chatting about Dog care and reminiscing about pets. We are very much looking forward to the next visit.

We have been busy, as despite the gloomy August weather, Westcliffe has had a variety of Activities to keep us entertained. We have been decorating and building windchimes, baking, enjoying doing crosswords and having a nail pamper session. We are also eating our own homegrown fruit and vegetables from our veg patch, and of course they taste delicious!
